[u]Transformation:[/u] Ayame disappears in a puff of fire, only to reappear as a pipe fox. (See Picture) In this form, she is swift and small, perfect for reconnaissance. Don't be fooled by this cute pipe-fox, she won't hesitate to bite and scratch. She is also able to use her fire in this form. 

[u]Fox Fire:[/u] Ayame has the ability to create blue-colored fire, either in streams of fire or in balls of various sizes. She's a pretty crafty fellow, so she can use her fire as a defensive tool as well. 

[u]Detection:[/u] Ayame is able to sense various types of energy as well as other spirits and creatures. 

[b]Strengths:[/b] Kuda-gitsune are able to directly link their magical power with their chosen master. With this, their powers are augmented depending on how strong their personal bond is. 

[b]Weaknesses:[/b] As much as she hates to admit it, Ayame is quite weak. She's incredibly dependent of her master's power, since she is still a young Kuda-gistune with only one tail. Ayame also refuses to fight an opponent who is significantly stronger than her.

Warm-hearted and compassionate; Ayame enjoys helping others. She is persistent, always striving for the truth and leading a respectful, dignified life. She is an extremely loyal person and often finds herself to attached to things that somehow manage to catch her interest. 

[b]Backstory:[/b] 
Ayame has spent most of her life in a hidden forest located in Japan. It's a haven for fox spirits, and many spend the rest of their lives there. Untouched by humans, Ayame was a rather naive and pure spirit. Although she had heard many stories of pipe-foxes like her being kept shut in bamboo pipes and the like, she was always curious of the outside world.

Her curiosity drove her to leave her home but she never gathered up the courage to directly interact with a human. Instead, she stayed hidden in the mountains and played a few pranks on travelers. During this time, she met many creatures and developed a keen sense of detecting energy. Unfortunately, her little vacation was cut short when she found herself caged, just like the stories she was told in her child-hood. 

Luckily, she managed to free herself with a bit of dumb-luck and set out to head back home. Humans were dangerous things and Ayame preferred to live without fear. However, a strange human approached her offering admission to an academy that was safe and provided an education. Eager for an adventure and tempted to find a suitable master, she accepted the invitation from Montagne Academy.
