Serah's back.(backup image) Gender Female Age 16 Experience 73% (41% originally) Synchronization Rate 65% (67% originally) Personality Very open and eager to meet new people, always puts on a bright face. Just a little bundle of joy on the outside shell. Doesn't seem to break easily out in the open, but is a fragile little flower on her own. Background When she was about 9, she got in an accident. The cruxi were on hunt again, attacking spaceships to get closer to the homeworld. One of them was a cruiser, which Serah was on. She had been taken out to see space from up close, enjoying every minute of the wonderful sights with her entire family. That is, until an explosion hit the front. Suddenly everything got out of control, and she doesn't really remember much at all of the accident. Just that she and several others were launched in escape pods, shooting back down to the base in hopes of survival while the rest had none. For the next 7 years the survivor was forced to be orphaned. Serah's life at the orphanage was not completely without issue. She was extremely distraught for the first few months, extremely fragile with how she just witnessed a tragedy. It didn't help she used to get picked on by absolutely everyone, causing the girl to develop a self-loathing attitude. A particular boy stood up for her one day, with peculiar red tattoos on his face. He got into a fight with Serah's bullies and got into trouble for it, but Serah never forgot it. He inspired her to stand up for others as well, trying to put a smile on their face. She became a lot more happy on the outset and looked to always be cheerful, trying to lift everyone's spirits. She'd often try to sneak under her caretaker's noses and hang out with the boy that stood up for her, eventually forming a deep friendship with him. Serah was studying as a mechanic for the first five or so years after the accident. However, when she was fourteen, Serah had been sent off to be tested on Framewerk synchronization for one reason or another. Against all odds, she was gifted in that field. The school had sent her off in military training after that, and eventually Serah became a pilot instead of a mechanic. This wasn't without her kicking and screaming though, as she didn't want to leave. Despite some horrible people, the orphanage was her home. There was also someone that the girl really didn't want to part from, but got torn away from anyway. She still has some skills in the arts of maintaining and repairing, but she never got to finish that education so she isn't the best. Notable Deaths No friends, but her entire family did get blown. In particular, her brother's loss hit her hard. More recently, discovering that her childhood best friend, Xane, died came as quite a shocker. It hit her as hard, if not harder than her family's loss.
Framewerk Code Name AA-XOTRY. Signature Weapon System The blade you see can be retracted at any time and is also able to shoot out sickle-like projectiles when swung. It takes away a part of the blade's energy which is used to generate the edge, although by taking some energy from the core it can be immediately reversed. Using this too much would quickly have it run out of energy, though. Secondary Weapon System The wings on its back aren't for show, they're reflector barriers meant to repel/block attacks. They can detach and move on their own via some technology, as long as it stays within close range of AA-XOTRY. Weight Class Light and fast, though extremely fragile if caught without the barriers. Has a medium amount of damage output, but it's made to run around and dodge attacks while gradually chipping away at the enemy. It's got a very low energy consumption due to this, and can be deployed for large amounts of time. Special Ability All Frameworks have a special and unique ability that they possess that makes them powerful weapons of war... however, they haven't been unlocked yet. So, for now, keep this section blank.
Name Devors Rysence Appearance A rather lanky person, Devors is. He stands at a good two meters and eleven centimeters, which makes him tower over most people. Impressively, his long chestnut blonde hair still comes down to below the waist. It's usually raised just above it, however, due to a black bandana tied into it which covers the pilot's right eye. He's missing a few teeth and has a pretty nasty burn popping out around the bandana. Devors' left eye is colored gold. For the guy's casual attire, he wears a dark gray button-up which is missing its top two buttons, revealing part of his chest. Resting atop it would be a half-tied dark-green tie with a few black stars on it. Part of a tattoo is visible on the exposed part of his chest, showing the head of a massive but unrealistic bird. Fingerless, dark-brown leather gloves adorn his hands with a small, rectangular hole on the back. His pants are a torn, dark-blue jeans and he wears brown business shoes that are just a size too large. Gender Male Age 27 Experience ? Synchronization Rate ? Personality Carefree, blissfully unaware of his own shortcomings, dangerously chatty, failed romanticus and unlucky would sum Devors up quite nicely. Despite his shortcomings, the guy has his heart in the right place, even if it leads to the wrong outcome if you trust his judgement more often than not. Background ? Notable Death ? While it won't reach the ludicrous speeds of Yeager, its primary gimmick still relies on speed. It has launch pads down at the bottom to get into the air, with turbo thrusters on its back to get it up to speed. Everything about Ranius is designed to get it into the air without issue and stay in it, which also leads it to needing to remain in constant movement in order not to crash. Fuel is efficiently used as well. (In mechanical terms: 3 movement regularly, 6 while dashing.) The second primary system is more offensive; It's loaded with a variety of bombs at all time. The bombs range from more classic napalm to EMP and corrosive gas. They're kept inside of Ranius' chest and are meant to be dropped down as he flies overhead, with appropriate gear in the cockpit to accurately gauge when to drop said bombs. Due to their inherent destructibility, Ranius needs to be high up in the air and be able to flee from the blast when it connects with the floor in order to be safe from harm. Some of them might be illegal too. Secondary Weapon Systems The first is a simple, short range laser cutter meant for basic CQ defense. This acts like a precision beam that makes quick cuts, but isn't very large. Ideal for drive-by shootings, it serves as an easy way to be able to tango with the devil if the situation arises. This weapon is also what Ranius uses when bombardment just isn't a viable option. The second is a short electric forcefield generator. It's not a particularly powerful one, nor does it last very long. It is best used in close shaves when Ranius needs a quick guard when he can't evade the enemy's shots. Weight Class Lightweight Special Ability N/A

Name Serah Gene Appearance
(Artist)
Gender Female Age 17 Experience 73% (41% originally) Synchronization Rate 65% (67% originally) Personality Serah's an incredibly social person. She'll be the first to mingle in any group and try to make friends with everyone. She's a ball of sunshine that tries to share its radiance anywhere and everywhere it goes. Serah loves to put a smile on other people's faces and is also a bit of a goofy goober, especially when a situation gets a little too tense and/or serious. She'll want to do some silly things just to liven up people's moods. Beneath all that, though, is a very troubled girl. Serah puts on the façade of being happy so others aren't hurting just the way she is. She carries around survivor's guilt at losing her family, but not only this, as she's severely traumatised by several cumulative events of her past. While still not over all of this, recent events have made her be more open about the issues she faces. She doesn't just cry about them all on her lonesome anymore. Having made new friends picked her up from her deepest point, and she's beginning to look to the future again. Background Serah's life was fine, for a time. Up until she was about 9, give or take. She'd come from a middle-class family that didn't stand out in any particular way, living in peace with her twin brother and parents. For her birthday, the entire family took a cruise in outer space, marvelling at the sights. They were intent on going to another planet to spend a vacation there, then return home. The cruise ship they were on, however, was rocked by an explosion. There were some escape pods to jettison civilians out of, but not nearly enough for everyone. Of her family, Serah's the only one who made it. Adding insult to injury, the planet she was sent to was the vacation spot, not her own home town. There, on unfamiliar land, she was forced to be orphaned. Without dedicated guardians left to protect her, and no real way to get back, Serah was stuck in an unfamiliar environment where everything she knew had been taken from her. To make matters even worse, the orphanage she did end up in wasn't the most stable place. The caretakers were neglectful, the children full of hatred and resentment... often, the target for both parties' verbal lashing was the fragile Serah herself. There was someone who helped her through these times, and they were her only friend. He was a boy called Xane, who was just a bit older than her. He stood up for her when nobody else would, fighting back both verbally and physically against the abusers. A close bond formed between the two of them. However, when the military started to increase drafting for the Cruxi effort, the orphanage was the first to forward its children. Many didn't meet the requirements, but Serah was special in the eyes of the inspectors. She was taken away. Serah was given military education, as well as made into a pilot for an experimental, new program. She was alone again, but found comfort in the new partner she met in these new circumstances. Not one of flesh and blood, but of metal. Her own framewerk: AA-XOTRY. She felt connected to it, and maybe in a desperate bid to fight against the loneliness, gave it a nickname. She called it Atty. Once transferred to her squad, Serah found herself with a new set of strangers. Zim, Harold, Roger, Katya... many of them were older than her. It was scary and overwhelming, and she felt even more alone now than she had in the past several years. Serah pushed through, however, and put on her brightest smile. She became a part of the squad relatively smoothly, even if nobody really knew what went on with her. Then the mission on Leviticus IX happened. Everything went wrong on Leviticus IX. Serah was deployed to Troas alongside the commanding officer and a few squadmates. He didn't last long. Harold was torn apart by the Cruxi only a little bit into the mission. The rest of the squad fumbled against the Cruxi's units and their experimental new weapon, the MIST. Serah barely managed to fend off the units she'd come into a skirmish with when she reunited with Eiswolf, commanded by squadmate Sigma, one of the only two pilots younger than her. The MIST unit looked about ready to fire, intent on taking the whole colony out in one fell swoop. Serah didn't want to let that happen. The one hope their commander had left them was his own corpse, riddled with explosives that had scattered out of his mech. Serah proposed a dangerous, completely reckless gambit to Sigma. Use her own Atty's plasma core to ignite the explosives and take out MIST with it. Serah somehow safely made it to Eiswolf's cockpit and, together with her fellow pilot, they fired off the blast. It worked. MIST was taken out, and the rest of her squad had no trouble finishing up the rest of the units. Serah and Sigma were overjoyed, and exhausted. At the debriefing, though, it turned out the victory was hollow. Over at the other colony, Joppa, MIST had successfully fired. While Serah and her unit were hailed as heroes in Troas, her companions had to suffer hatred and berating over not being able to save the colony. Among one of those was a single boy, sent in as reinforcement during the mission. However, his squad got into trouble on the way there and he was the only survivor. His name turned out to be Jason. Things settled down at base. Serah got to know Jason, spending a lot of her time with him. The two became almost inseparable at some point, and to nobody's surprise, wound up a couple. Serah should've been overjoyed that someone could take such a liking to her that they'd be willing to get romantically involved, but her heart was still hurting. Some of it had to do wit the fact that, not long after the mission, Sigma's mind had collapsed. Serah had felt a kinship with Sigma ever since their shared victory, even getting to know her a little better afterwards, so she now carried the burden of losing one more real friend. Back in the previous mission, the Cruxi'd kidnapped a precious comrade of the squad: Elora. It was up to them to get her back. So, command had decided to launch an attack on a Cruxi outpost, where they were confident in their intel of said comrade being there. Serah was deployed to infiltrate the inside, alongside a few others of her squad, while the rest needed to keep the forces outside occupied. Infiltrating wasn't the hardest part, surprisingly. Very little guard were present. Though, once the crew had found their companion, things took a turn for the worse. Elora's framewerk had been mutated into something horrific; Cruxi technology was superimposed on it and gave off an aura as if the machine itself suffered because of it. The pilot must have, too, as they let out a deafening scream. This scream caused Serah to have a vision. A vision of how Jason's squad met its end. They were caught in a Cruxi ambush, but the forces themselves were not the difficult part. The trap was a timed strike on their location, to which the forces only acted as decoys to delay the squad. That wasn't the horrific part, however. No. In that squad was the boy she'd become best friends with back at the orphanage, Xane. He'd been turned into a pilot just like her. Deployed to Jason's squad. Caught in that ambush. Now he was dead. Her mind shut down. Serah was already struggling with the deaths of those around her and in her past, and Xane's memory was the primary reason she was fighting. To protect him. To make sure at least he could live in peace. Finding out he was not only drafted into the same cruel circumstances as her, but was also one of the companions Jason lost in the attack, felt like some kind of divine comedy. Atty seemed to recognize its mistress' distress and started to act autonomous of her own will. As if to protect her, Serah's framewerk lashed out and attacked anything around it, friend and foe alike, hoping to find the source of what caused her to become as she had. Once Serah realised her framewerk was attacking her companions, she begged it to stop, even trying to force it, but the frame didn't respond. Her own squad had to take her out like she was threat, and she was soon put in confinement. To be put on trial at a later date. The crime of treason is no small one. In the brig, Serah was at her loneliest. She had all the time in the world to wallow in her self-hatred and pity. Miraculously, once the trial rolled around, her sentence was not the death penalty. Whatever the case, her superior, Lorenzo, managed to provide a defense so thorough her sentence was lessened to a mere half-year in prison. Before Serah had to depart, she left one final request to Lorenzo, then was shipped off to a confinement planet. Put into a female-only prison, Serah was once again faced with a new environment. However, this time, she was able to reconcile with herself. Despite everyone except her looking like they came out of an action thriller back in the mid 2100's, Serah was still able to do what she did best and bond with everyone there. She shared her story as they shared theirs. Together with her fellow inmates, she and everyone else worked through their issues. Serah became incredibly popular among the inmates, as she proved to be a glimmer of hope for them. For everyone. Just as how much they gave hope back to Serah. Her sentence drew to an end quicker than she could ever imagine, and after they threw her a birthday party, she'd left. The only proof that Serah had ever been there were the few gifts she managed to get from everyone there, including the new tattoo on her cheek. Serah returned to the hangar and visited her old friend, Atty, once again. She wanted to see its form now that it had had time to be repaired. She nearly cried at seeing how Lorenzo had honored her wishes. AA-XOTRY, model Σ. Notable Deaths Serah lost her family, her two best friends and some of the companions she'd made in the squad. She was going to do her best to not let anyone else die.
Framewerk Code Name AA-XOTRY-Σ. Serah calls it Atty. Signature Weapon System AA-XOTRY's signature plasma blade was replaced with a plasma rifle. Using the same efficient core system from before, her frame's Σ form has been modified from a melee fighter into a long-range sniper. Its rounds are precise, rapid and extremely dangerous. The downside, however, is that it still requires it to take away from the frame's energy source to attack. Each shot lands it closer to deactivation, so every single one counts. The energy consumption is also much larger now that it's a constant cycling beam, because the plasma she fires off can't be recycled back through the core. The rifle was modeled after Eiswolf, as Serah wasn't going to let Sigma's memory vanish. Secondary Weapon System
(Source)
AA-XOTRY-Σ carries over its two battle-wings from its previous model. Due to a lack of armor, these detachable energy fields can take a multitude of shapes and block incoming strikes and projectiles. These are used to guard AA-XOTRY-Σ from incoming attacks, however they can travel a short distance away from the framewerk and protect an ally if the need arose. Weight Class Being essentially the same frame as before, AA-XOTRY-Σ's armor is still that of a high-speed, close-quarters frame. It maneuvers extremely easily, but it is just as frail as it once was. Special Ability -
