Adam could see the frustration building behind her soft chocolate eyes and even in his fuzzy state of mind he couldn’t help but enjoy the fire behind her irritation. It made her eyes sparkle just a little bit more than usual. His amusement quickly vanished when she snapped back at him with true anger. “Your right, Ciara.” He replied softly. For a moment he opened his mouth to say something more but stopped himself before he said something he would later regret. Just a little while later, Adam managed to ignore the pain he was in just long enough to sneak out of the fortress his coven was living in. It took all of his will power and remaining strength to pull his cloak in over himself long enough to escape without being caught. By the time he made it to the alley way he could hardly stand. Every bone and muscle in his body ached as he sagged against the brick wall struggling to take a deep breath. Eventually his eyed fell closed as he waited for Ciara to show up. All of a sudden breathing became a little easier and the mark on his arm seemed to stop throbbing as intensely. Just then he heard her voice at the end of the ally way asking him to stop doing something. “I am not doing a damn thing, darling.” He muttered sarcastically while turning to look at her. A laugh trickled out of his mouth at her assessment of how he was looking. “You do not look much better.” He told her wearily. Slowly she inched closer to him as if she were afraid, but once she got close enough he reached out and grabbed her arm turning it so that her Yang symbol faced up. The contact instantly erased the pounding his head and for a brief moment all the pain in his body eased. Slowly he let his breath go enjoying the ease in which the air left his lungs. For just a brief moment nothing hurt but then like a trucking slamming into him all the physical pain he had collected over the past several days returned. Once again he leaned back against the brick wall and let go of her arm. “You are going to be the death of me.” He mumbled. “They have me on extra training duty to make sure I never lose a fight again.” He paused for a moment before continuing. “I am told to fight against four other coven member, all of whom through their all at me, and the moment they knock me down I have to start over again.” Once again he paused. “And if I manage to knock them all over, the get free reign to beat me up for several minutes before starting again.” He had long since forgotten to not trust the woman beside him. “What about you? How has your past few days been?” He asked looking up at her.
