We can't just sit down and leave the planet as it is. Even if we chose to stay in the stone age -- we'd still want to add stuff (or at least, I do).

In terms of writing from a non-divine perspective -- that's what I was going to do [i]anyway[/i]. Goathead Magi and Hollow Men need to be summoned by mortals, after all...
