The Story

"A war has ignited between three kingdoms within a mess of executions and accusations. Many other kingdoms have chosen to avoid any contact between the three main kingdoms with the decision to remain neutral for future or sake of themselves, leaving the three at heads with each other. The war has yet to grow, though it has at least been played off on a battle field at least once. What was the case that started it all? Well, it's said that there was an assassin from the Kingdom of Gabriel hired to take out royalty from the Kingdom of Michael. The royals of Gabriel stated that they saw evil ready to overthrow the Kingdom of Michael through the throne. The kingdom had assassinated Michael's queen and king in order to prevent this from happening. Michael's new queen and king were willing to rage a war against the Kingdom of Gabriel, but another kingdom stepped in. The Kingdom of Raphael wanted to keep a peace treaty intact between the three kingdoms, and thus the kingdom became allies with the two. However, Raphael's king was discovered with such plans and was turned away as a liar and backstabber by both kingdoms. The tension between the kingdoms rises day by day, however there is one kingdom that still remains. One kingdom, thought to have been locked away by ancestors, lingers from below the land. The fourth kingdom is seeing an opportunity to take back its lost glory and more…" It has been a year and three months since the assassination. While Kingdoms Gabriel and Michael still have shaky relations, the Kingdom of Raphael has managed to rebuild their relationships with both kingdoms with more or less trust than before. On this cloudy day, a letter delivered by a dove has been sent to each kingdom's ruler by Raphael's king. An invitation to meet at the historical Round Table at noon today for urgent and important news, bringing rulers of each kingdom and at least two guards along. The urgent news is not disclosed in the letter, but stressed as dire and should be tended to immediately. As these three kingdoms tend to their business on the surface, a great power stirs from below... Waiting to unleash its wrath and power... The Kingdom of Lucifer is determined to return...

Roles & Races

The available roles in this roleplay are the following: King and Queen, Prince and Princess, Servants, Maids, Knights, Warriors, and Bishops. While royal titles like King, Queen, Prince, and Princess are easily defined, the others have specifics terms behind them. Read the following hider before for a greater definition behind each role and understanding how heirs and hierarchy works within the world.
King and Queen
The heads of the kingdom, they are the leaders and representatives of their kingdom. They deal with warfare and politics to keep the kingdom at ease, and do their best to keep prosperity intact. However, not all rulers are kind. A king or queen can rule however they like, but revolution may form when unhappy people find the proper time. Usually kingdoms run by royalty and pass down the crown from one generation to the next, though a child must be sixteen or older to take the throne. If the ruling family is no more, the kingdom’s throne is passed down to the strongest leader in the army. When a kingdom is absent of king or queen, the eldest of princes and princesses take the seat as the king or queen. A kingdom that has a king, no queen, but a princess may allow the princess to ascend the role of queen at the approval of the king. The same goes for a queen, no king, but a prince. One can access these roles through marriage as well. When chosen to be married or married off, there is an agreement between the two families on who goes to which kingdom, or in other cases, on who goes to which household. A royal who marries a person of lower status would be expected to have them ascend the throne; if the royal chooses to leave their chair for this person, then they are considered detached from the royal family and the crown moves to the next capable possessor. While the roles of king and queen are politically involved and warfare-entangled, they are also highly-respected when they are great or powerful leaders. A king or queen who has combat ability can also serve as a knight, warrior, or bishop, but to enter the field gives various responses. It can be great for morale at the cost of their lives. Not everyone is approving of this action either; while joining a battle may be seen as heroic, it may also be seen as rash and poorly thought-out.
Prince and Princess
The leaders of the future, these children and taken-in youths of the king and queen are trained day by day on how to be a fit ruler. They are trained in every field of the king and queen’s choice. Once they are sixteen, they are able to become king and queen, and this is the time when they are court-able by the world of the king or queen. The eldest of either prince or princess steps up to take the throne when the king or queen is absent while the rest of the siblings await as princes and princesses. During this stage, a prince or princess can learn much from knights, warriors, and bishops when given the free-time or by the request of the king and queen. Princes and princesses can go hand in hand with one of these roles; however it is not favored by many. Princes and princesses may also be subjects to being married off. They will not be able to choose someone to marry until they ascend into being king or queen. If they choose to break off their marriage with whoever they have been married off with, they are often sent back to their home kingdom. Sometimes, the two will end up working together for a kingdom despite their failed marriage. Princes and princesses may also be betrothed to one and another, therefore be married later in life.
Servant and Maid
Selected as chefs, personal maids, gardeners, and so on, servants and maids can fall in any of these categories. They are given their own quarters by the kingdom, but these areas are not as well-maintained as the rest of the kingdom. Some servants and maids are hired to personally care for a prince or a queen, while others also serve as messengers. A servant or maid that has previous skill in combat is also considered a warrior and part of the kingdom’s army, but not officially. Other than that, servants and maids are often serviced with cleaning roles and care-taking for the king, queen, prince, or princess they are assigned to. Both servant and maid are considered to be the same in the eyes of most people.
Knight
The leader figure in an army, a knight is often given their title either by their noble family or by their fighting style. Knights are welcomed as skilled fighters in traditional practices. They can also be fighters devoted to the royal family and have been acknowledged for their strength in battle. A knight can also be a like a servant to a king, queen, prince, or princess, but not in a way of serving and dressing them. It could be more for company-use or perhaps courtship. While a king, queen, prince, or princess can also be considered a knight, it’s not looked upon as a good thing when they come into combat. However, when a prince or princess learns a form of combat, they often learn a knight’s style, but it’s possible to learn a warrior’s style as well.
Warrior
The figures and pawns that are not very well-known, warriors take on their own style of fighting. Sure, they use sword and shield, but they are also for fist-fighting and javelin-tossing. Warriors usually don’t come from noble families and vary from being self-trained to army-trained. Those trained when enlisted have taken on their own style of fighting. Warriors can be promoted to a knight through the approval of royalty when they have remained loyal to the kingdom in given time or have proven themselves worthy with a note-worthy feat. They are considered the furthest from royalty, more or less from servants and maids. Unlike knights, they are not expected to offer any company-ship to the royal family. A king, queen, prince, or princess may have a fighting style like a warrior’s, but it is uncommon.
Bishop
The battle-mages of the kingdom, serving as religious figures, advisers, partial servantry, and more to the throne and to the people. While they tend to the churches and cathedrals, they can also appear on the battlefield and appear for business among the royals. Some bishops are host in the same places as knights and warriors while others are able to stay at their own homes, or sometimes live in their cathedrals and churches. Bishops are highly respected and may also play the role of a servant towards a king, queen, prince, or princess. The four other roles can also be in place as a bishop, but this only happens when they have some form of magic. Most bishops use magic for battle, though some have no qualms as to using magic in their daily lives. Bishops may wield swords, but do not ever depend on them. They have exchanged swordsmanship for their study in magic, a trait easily seen when they are on the battlefield.

The available races are Human, Blessed Human, Cursed Human, Angel, and Demon. One's race will determine their abilities and may also alter how they are perceived by others. These races can be found across the land, some more secretive about who they are than others. Read the hider below for a greater definition of each race and their limitations, abilities, and more.
Angels
Filled with divinity and virtue, angels are creatures that come in two forms: they manifest their form or possess a human's weaker body before puberty. The angels seen across the land are considered the lowest in the angel hierarchy, but are still rare and magnificent to see. Some angels do not hide their identity from the world while others keep it secret for their own reasons. Angels can be present as guardians, messengers, and more. As messengers, they do not only pass one word over and move on, for they may pass a message on through action, or be told to appear and remain until a fated day. Guardians do not necessarily protect one person, for they can protect families, villages, kingdoms, and more. An angel doesn't necessarily have to return home if their given quest is ever fulfilled, for some are present without this. However, they may return to their native plane whenever they wish or see fit. Almost all angels have wings. They may hide their wings as they see fit or expose them. All angel wings are white and feathery, though some may have shimmer or glitter effect, others appearing a tad more metallic. Other angelic traits may include a colorful touch to the skin, hair, and more. Perhaps a glow to their skin or eyes, markings and tattoos, or other angelic alterations that do not break a humanoid form. The ones listed are only the most common types. An angel who performs wrongful and unjust actions against innocents are punished in two ways: they are stripped from grace and become a type of demon known as dark angel, or they simply are stripped from their wings. It can take three centuries to regrow lost wings, though once an angel has fallen, their wings are permanently black. Angels will also have their abilities slightly altered when they have fallen, often becoming weaker than they were previously. Even worse, they may lose all their abilities. Angels have powerful abilities that encompass one topic, but can do various things. In example, an angel who can heal will be able to heal themselves and others, or an angel with pyromancy will be able to conjure fire and manipulate it. These abilities can be partially passed down to blessed humans, a human of their choice who they feel are worthy for their blessing. This blessing will only give them partial ability. A human blessed by a pyromancer angel will only have fire conjuration or manipulation, not both. Angels are able to remove curses from cursed humans by simply blessing them. This blessing will not change the human into being a blessed human. When using a blessing to remove a curse, the cursed human reverts back to being a normal human. If a blessing is placed on a demon, it does a large amount of damage to them due to opposing divine energy. It is also important to note that blessings may only be delivered twice a year. One is supposed to be used to bless or remove curses from humans while the other is supposed to be used for smiting demons, but some angels do not follow this rule. This ability does not stack; one may not have twelve blessings because they hoarded their blessings for so long. Last but not least, if an angel were to have a child with any creature, that child will be human. Being an angel is not passed down in the form of being half-angel. Their tangible forms are considered human, but their spirits are beyond human, and only their physical form is considered when having a child. Whether they are mother or father, their child will only receive certain appearance traits of angels, but not their race.
Demons
Creatures of unholy divinity and sin, demons can appear in three forms: they form a humanoid appearance to appear on land in, possess a human's weaker body before puberty, or are fallen angels. There are various types of demons across the land, but the blanket term of demon is used to cover all types that can be seen. They choose whether or not to be present on the land, simply because they are bored or are seeking something beyond the Lower Realm, and whatever that may be, they find a way to achieve. With just their presence a demon can invoke awe and fear into an individual. Some may hide their appearance while others are not afraid of to show it. Originally demons roamed through other kingdoms instead of Lucifer, but since the Kingdom of Lucifer was sealed away from the rest of the world, they have either found pockets to escape through, remain lonesome on the surface, or remained in the lower kingdom, waiting for freedom. Demons can have various appearances based on their abilities, but they most commonly have leather-like wings, horns, sharp nails, and more. Other appearance changes may include darker tints to the skin and hair, or discolored eyes. They may not be the most pleasant creatures to look at, but do give off a frightening vibe. Tails, curved horns, sharpened teeth, and more; these are only the most common traits seen in the demons of the world. While demons cannot necessarily fall from their sin, they are commonly out-casted when they show mercy or virtues. There is no true punishment for doing good, but doing such will have them pushed away by other fellow demons. It is common in the Kingdom of Lucifer that a demon who acts towards doing good will have their wings stripped, tails cut, or their horns pulled. These items can take three centuries to grow back. If during this time that a demon continues seeking virtue, myths and legends say that they may develop angelic attributes in this place. Even if such was true, many demons are killed before it is proven true. Like angels, demons have powerful abilities, and share similar rules to angels. The one exception is that they do not bless humans, but curse them. A cursed human still gets a portion of a demon's abilities. Furthermore, demons can remove blessings from a blessed human by cursing this. This will revert the human into a normal human instead of a cursed one. Demons may also use their curses to inflict a large amount of damage to angels as well. A demon's curse has the same cool-down as an angel's blessing, and if a demon were to have a child their child will be born human.
Humans
A human is your, well, average being. They are not cursed or blessed, though they can be by a demon or angel, and do not have much for physical oddities. Humans are not native to magic either and are not born with any special abilities. Instead, humans are primarily trained for physical combat of their choosing, whether it be with their fists or spears. There is nothing wrong with being a mere human, for a human does not face any prejudices that any other race would. They are known to be adaptable and full of energy, making them ideal choices for angels and demons alike. A human, furthermore, holds no need for loyalty like other races. Humans are free to choose who they work for and fight for, for they unlimited in alignment possibilities.
Blessed Humans
A blessed human is like a human: they are filled with unlimited potential. However, unlike a human, they have been given a blessing of an angel. From the moment they are blessed, they obtain a symbol anywhere on their sign which signifies their blessing. It may glow when nearby the angel they are blessed by or when they activate their abilities. Being a blessed human is considered a honor, and with such comes responsibilities and rules to follow. Blessed humans receive a portion of an angel's power. This will depend on which angel blessed them. With this ability, a blessed human is also given a sense of connection with this angel. The angel may choose to take away this blessing if the blessed human fails them in any manner. Often times, this failure is due to sin or turning against the angel. Once a blessed human loses their blessing, they become a simple human. They may be able to obtain another blessing at another time, but one simply doesn't ask for a blessing. It is a privileged bestowed upon, not handed out or begged for. If a blessed human has their blessing removed by a demon, they will feel a great amount of weakness following afterwards, and their symbol will fade into their skin. The angel who blessed them may be able sense this loss. If the angel who gave the blessing were to die while the blessed human was still blessed, they would lose that blessing. If the angel was brought back however, the blessing would come back to the human. If the blessed human obtained another blessing during this period of time between the loss of the blessing and found a new one, then the blessed human will keep their new blessing and the old one will not affect them. A blessed human can only have one blessing at a time; this does not stack. Being a blessed human is not passed down by blood. If a blessed human were to have a child, that child would be born human. Seriously, how many times do I have to type that? I won't type it for the next section. This is just going to be common sense in the world now, alright?
Cursed Humans
A cursed human follows the same specifics as above, except between a cursed human, curses, and a demon. A cursed human may not see their curse as a privilege bestowed upon them, however, as one might imagine, but this could be the same for a blessed human as well. Furthermore, a cursed human is more likely to be found around their demon than a blessed human would with their angel. This is simply due to the common nature of demons. Some cursed humans find themselves in a servitude with the demon, while others find a way to coexist with them. While this is a common case, other cursed humans may find themselves roaming around, free from the sight of the demon who cursed them...

The Rules

Follow site rules.
