I have a vague idea for the vampire blood addiction plot, in that the vampire has been around for a very long time and has resorted to orchestrate both makeshift social studies and scandals to amuse himself these days. He's very whimsical, and has long been feeling alienated from humankind due to his nature. I'm seeing the relationship starting as idle amusement and disregard, with maybe a big event changing the two's view of each other somewhat, so that the relationship can progress towards a more equal or at least considerate footing.
