Cal looks at the frog and then the person holding it. He reaches it out for the frog, but before he could get it to his mouth or even smirk, he collapses. Everything went blurry for him, and then faded to black as he passes out. He never ran into this problem before since he was in an area where he could buy food near him at any point. So he really had no idea how long he could go without food of some sort.
