Gallus bit the inside of his cheek and glanced away, but he didn't give up. He spoke to Dar-tzesa in a more level voice. "You can think that, but you don't know that it's true. You have a choice, Dar-tzesa. Either you say nothing and guarantee that your son will not be helped, or you tell me now and create a chance that he can." Gallus angled his head forward, looking into her eyes, "Your life is over, but not his. Not yet. Do this one last thing for his sake."
