[@Thortimer] perhaps you laid it on a bit thick (I find it hard to imagine you'd be granted control over some men the day you arrive) but otherwise it was a good post. I certainly enjoyed it.

As a sidenote for future reference - if you are a peasant with a horse, typically you'd still not fight on horseback. That was reserved for the cavalry specifically, whom usually consisted either of veterans or of noblemen. I imagined those men would be part of the 40 or so men that went around the sides to flank under control of the other commanders (aka not Haesteinn).
