Swen, Megumi, and Melody
Megumi turned to see a boy near her age talking to her about the living arrangements. "I don't know," Megumi replied. "My room is in the library as well." Megumi then realized that if what the boy was saying was true, then they were roommates, or at least neighbors, considering the size and number of their rooms. Megumi then took out the piece of paper the spirit had given to her and reread the names on it. "I assume you're... Magierprinz Swen Runvall?" Megumi asked, trying to pronounce the boy's name correctly. The fourteen year old noble gave a slight bow as an apology for his false assumption. "Indeed that is me, at your service millady ..." After a moment of trying to remember the list, he took it out and observed the names. "... the only names here are Melody and Megumi, and I do not know which one you claim." Melody didn't get too surprised when she was picked up by another student who had entered the library, she was after all a book and yet she didn't do anything beyond what a normal book would as her pages were flipped. She was then placed on a cart and simply laid there as the one that had done so was greeted by a man. Well after their near introduction she had a rather big clue who they were at least, the boy had a really long name, and the girl had one that was easier to say. But Melody didn't say anything just yet, she wanted to see how it played out first. "My name is Megumi," Megumi introduced herself, bowing slightly as she did so. "Nice to meet you." "Nice to meet you as well, madam Megumi." The nobleman was slightly confused as to why she didn't curtsey, but perhaps she wasn't raised in a noble line. But a ruler should be kind and not look down on those too unfortunate to have been blessed. Maybe some small talk would be nice to learn about each other, since they would be living next door? "What brought you to study here?" Megumi had noted the way Swen had been speaking. It was a bit odd to her, but Megumi reasoned that it was probably just the way he had been raised. "Not much," Megumi replied. "I just wanted to go to school, and this was the first choice I made." "I assume that makes me Melody~" Melody would chime in the minds of the other two other students. After that her singing voice seemed to dissipate once more after a sudden chorus of intrusion in the minds of the others. Melody happened to enjoy small pranks among games, hide and seek was one of her favorites. WHAT THE HELL!? The magierprinz's mind shouted as jumped in place, startled. The fourteen year old looked around, searching the room for the source of this intrusion. "Show yourself!" Ingranied in the nobleman from a young age, Swen turned his back to Megumi as if to protect her from some wild monster, manuvering a few feet in front of her as if to face a dragon in her stead, the grimore slung into his hands and ready to be fired. Chivalry wasn't dead, apparently. Megumi looked around in curiosity when the mental message came through. Megumi looked at the paper again and confirmed that the third roommate was indeed named Melody. Swen responded by overreacting to the message, acting as if Megumi needed to be protected. Megumi simply said to Sven, "Relax. She's our other roommate," and walked away, over to the cart. Now that Megumi thought about, it was a bit too convenient for a book to share the same name as a roommate. Perhaps it was a long stretch, but in the world of magic, Megumi had to think differently. Megumi looked down at the book, eyebrow raised, and asked, "I assume you're communicating from here, Melody?" The magierprinz simply stood there, blushing as he realized he was in fact being ridiculous, and wondered why he responded so swiftly when there wasn't even a certain threat. "My my... quite perceptive aren't you?..." The book on the cart replied and suddenly sprung to life as it shot up slightly in the air, hovering there a while as its cover flicked open on its own and its pages started to turn. "Guess you found me~" Melody replied cheerfully even if the boy surely had given quite the humorous response. The book started to deform, bend out of shape and extend in all kinds of angles until an exact duplicate of Megumi stood beside her. "Hi~ I'm Melody, nice to meet you~" she said and took Megumi's hand to shake it. Swen's face simply drained of all color, looking on in confusion as the book suddenly became a person. This place was crazy, after all. Megumi only grew more curious as Melody transformed. She wasn't sure what magic was being used here, but there was a way to find out. After shaking hands, Megumi asked Melody, "So, what exactly are you? Are you human, or something else?" Melody circled around Megumi after shaking her hand then just smiled to her. "Oh?... I'm you silly~... or don't you have a mirror?" she said kinda misunderstanding the question. Yet she looked cheerful enough still. The nobleman's face looked back and forth between the two, before giving the one who claimed to be Melody a slight bow. By the time he had risen though, he had regained his composure. "Madam Melody, I double Megumi's question, and would appreciate an answer." Megumi thought for a while, still wondering how Melody could change form like that. Eventually, though, she gave up on the matter and said, "Never mind. I'm going to unpack." On that note, Megumi turned around and began to walk back to her room. Melody nodded to Megumi who then went to unpack, "Oh... okay"she replied and then turned her attention to the boy instead. "I am Melody... but look like Megumi... do you want me to be something else?" she asked as she didn't really know what she was. A shapeshifter then perhaps? Maybe an illusionist hard at work? After a few moments of thought the nobleman responded. "Go back to being a book. You were easier to handle that way." Melody tilted her head slighty as he told her to become a book again, she pondered if she should grant that wish or simply mess with him a bit. "But... being a book was only fun when nobody knew I were a book... I know... I can become a cat" she said and suddenly her body would start deform once more, until she became a small black cat sitll hoovering in the air for no apperent reason. "Look at me~I'm a copy cat~ Ba dum... tsss" she said as she grew wings and started fluttering around the room. The magierprinz ended up rolling his eyes at this, wondering what possessed this girl's heart and made her so silly. He rolled his eyes a second time, starting to head back to his room as well. This was too painful to bear. Melody suddenly decided to land on the boy's shoulder as he headed back towards his room. Wondering why he had all of a sudden decided to just ignore her, perhaps he didn't find her little prank funny. "So -nya... why arrr myou levin? Meow?" she questioned and let out a soft purr. The nobleman had to resist the urge to brush the now-cat off his shoulder. "I ... I think it would be best for both of us to head to our own rooms." If she decided to ignore him and stay, he wasn't sure what he would do. Melody leaned her head down slightly by his side and looked at him. "He-ead to ourrr rrroom mrr?... wherrr is maw rrrom meow?" she asked as she remained on his shoulder not wanting to leave just yet. "Our rooms are directly next to each other, right here." The noblemand stated flatly, pointing towards the unoccupied room that Melody should go towards. "You should probably unpack your things in there and make yourself comfortable." Melody nodded slightly her whiskers slightly tickling towards the boy's cheek as she did. "Mew don't mown anything nya," she replied as she couldn't really recall having possessions... being able to become anything she wanted she wasn't really so worried about such things... yet she did as told this time, and after another transformation she became a soft pillow. "Comfortable enough?..." she asked This woman was definitely annoying, and it was starting to frustrate the young man. His cheeks flushed red as his emotions became apparent, and in response he brushed the pillow onto the floor. He hoped this was just some sort of greeting tactic, and not a permanent thing that this woman intended on doing. Melody fell to the floor with a soft cushioned thud as she was brushed off. She then remained motion less on the floor. The nobleman countinued to walk into his room, closing the door behind himself and wondering what he'd done to deserve this.
