Valyna sighed in exasperation. Was there no one who could follow orders in this century? Every one of her assistants had failed her in some way or another. Was it really that hard to go pick up a person at the airport? Valyna had been waiting for the corporate hot shot from Europe and now she finds out that he was lost at the airport because her assistant Sharon couldn't manage simple directions. She picked up a highly valuable tanzinite stone off of her shelf and threw it shattering Sharon's desk. Valyna grabbed her keys and walked out of the office and called for her car. When she got down to the garage her car was ready and she climbed into the Mercedes and drove to the airport. Normally she wouldn't care if he got lost but she needed to butter him up a little for the deal he was supposed to back her on. She put her foot on the gas and the tires squealed a bit and soon she was at the airport. She called him on his cell phone. "Derek? Where the hell are you?" He was at the exit at the wrong terminal but it still only took her a minute to navigate to him. Derek got in and immediately said, "You need an assistant who knows the airport." He said frustrated. "No worries, I'll make it a requirement on my next job add." Valyna replied. "You hungry?" Derek grinned "always! Where are you thinking? Italian?" "Of course!" Valyna laughed at her friend. Valyna was at a stoplight when the name and date on her arm disappeared. She looked down and became a little agitated. Derek noticed and asked her if she was okay. "Yeah, I guess. It's just weird to know that he died and that he will be so easily replaced by another name." Valyna dropped Derek off after dinner and she went back to her estate. She was thinking about it again and picked up a paper to look for his obituary.
