People are always absorbing information, so it's up to the information filter to send signals to the brain regarding the information. The brain sends a signal back, telling the filter to either accept or reject the information before the brain can even understand the information it is taking in! It's an amazing anomaly in the human body. But, sadly, some humans cannot fully develop this. It's so rare that it doesn't have a name, but its awful side effects include independent thought, rationality, high probability of intelligence, and creativity. It's a shame, really.
