Also, as a note to both you and [@Nevix], remember NPCs don't have to be cannon fodder, they can be people like diplomats or pilots of a transport we keep end up using. Hell you could even try for a fantasy senate member or a lord of a minor vassal/kingdom.

Just don't make any NPCs that are like the head commander of the GHU expedition, anyone from the Inquesition or part of the Imperian royal family, those are mein as they have some major plot importance and need careful control.
