He had a speech impediment during his youth, most likely as a result of his early trauma. His grandfather worked with th boy to get past it and now he has virtually no stutter except in times of extreme stress or confusion. His anxiety issues are handled through medication, so unless he runs out of pills he is generally calm and concise, if a bit antsy. He has a certain pride to him, having to overcome his anxiety issues and nerves to become a proper officer and points to his proud family lineage as evidence to his skill as a leader. In truth he is an average, and sometimes below average officer, who is nervous about his men, his asignment and unsure of his abilities in real combat. The fact he is a greenhorn does not help this. Bio: Born to civilian parents, the first few years of Mika's life was largely ordinary until right before his 5th birthday. A few days before the family was eating out at a fancier restuarant as a treat, and the quiet young boy was able to be taken to such places. It was their, that a terrorist attack took place. Isari terrorists bombed the restuarant along with quite a few other civilian and goverment institutions, killing thousands of people in the process. In the aftermath, Mika was found amongst the wreckage and bodies still leaving. He appeared to be shell shocked, desperately trying to get his father to get up... to respond to him. After a short time in the hospital for head injuries sustained from both shrapnel and the bombs shockwave, custody was given to his grandfather on his mothers side, a retired veteran of the Interum military, decorated for bravery in the face of certain death. It wasn't long before the hard line military man learned two things about his grand son. First, he was intelligent, extremely so, and a quick thinker. He also discovered he was incredibly anxious, paranoid and had a serious speech impediment. He determined the boy could be an officer like he was, and wanted to get him to where he needed to be. He wroked hard with his Grandson Mika, drilling him, tutoring him and working night and day. Eventually he overcame his speech impediment, and became less anxious through therapy and medication. When he was old enough, he applied to officers school and was accepted. He scored relatively high on most of his tests, but only just barely made certain requirements. For instance, he cleared the leadership under duress tests in just barely enough time to make it, and he worried quite a few of his superiors. A small group of them expressed their worry to their higher ups, and the officer core seriously considered failing him. His grandfathers impassioned pleas against such, him being a highly decorated officer and respected veteran, managed to keep his grandson in the core until graduation. As a sort of trade off, he was made the commanding officer of a small BGO guarding and important pass at the Tellosian border. This ensured he would remain an officer, but would not cause deaths in the field if he broke down under duress or was deprived of his medication. Though now it looks like he is going to be battle tested, and his men are soon going to be depending on him to stay alive... a prospect causing him no small amount of anxiety. Other: He has not revealed his condition with any of his men aside from required medical perssonnel. So, he attempts to remain on at least friendly terms with any and all medics who come through the post
