In all honesty, Mac was a liar before the world lost its mind. It wasn't something she liked to do or found any pleasure in, it just came natural. Lie about where she was, lie about who she liked, lie about who she hated. Now, with her mother and father dead, her brother probably rotting either as a monster or in hell, why was there any reason to lie? She's blatantly honest (except with the children) and has hardened. She can't decide if she's loyal to these people or not. Yeah, she's gone to school with most of them since they were children, but would she really risk her life for them? She isn't sure. She'll have to find out when the opportunity presents itself. If it ever does.
