She loves the shadows and seems to mimic their silence quite justifiably (perhaps a survival instinct). Her voice is small and her opinions in social situations find her riding the fence more than often as she has the ability to see the dying grass on both sides. She is an innocent cynic with a twisted sense of humor, but in her line of work, it’s difficult not to be friends with the darkness. Such are the reasons she prefers to keep a wall between her teammates and her. However, having a collectivist heart, she is willing to self-sacrifice anything for her teammates, including death, and on the field, her duties clearly and always come before her disposition.
[sub]Biography:[/sub]
Esther Rose was born in a prosperous city of the peaceful Evoria. Her father was a beneficial and influential priest to the unfortunately dying parish, Saint George Orthodox Church. Her mother was a traditional woman who spent majority of her time taking care of Esther and the household. Due to complications at birth, Esther’s mother was unable to bear any further children. Esther was craftily homeschooled through childhood—as her father abhorred the public systems of teaching and anything considered private was much too pricey for the family. Considering the conditions of the parish, Esther’s family was not monetarily wealthy. Of course, due to theological ideology and philosophical studies, the Rose family never thought of themselves as poor (especially, having the luxury of dwelling in such a well-to-do city). In fact, Esther used the most unique objects to build masterpieces and fulfill her desire to have things and such. There was always quick fix for anything they were lacking, given the right creativity, except of course, for food. As much as her father wanted a son (especially, to have serve behind the altar with him), he was thankful to the Godhead that his daughter did not need to consume as much food as a son would have. In return for his thankfulness, his family was thankful he would never be drafted into the war due to his title as a priest. It was because of her father being a priest that Esther was raised so strictly in the Church. She was taught not to want and that she lacked nothing. She was taught to be content with what she had and to make the most of it. This was a fairly easy concept for her to grasp due to her family’s position in society. For the most part, Esther was content except for one thing. She was rather envious of the boys and men who could go behind the altar during Church services. There was always something ominous about the male gender she could not shake from her mind. This mindset became more than just a toying emotion but eventually an obsession. In more than one way, she resented the traditional female role and looked for an escape from becoming her mother; and being the bright and innovative girl, her mother and father raised her to be, she looked beyond the borders of her country and into the country of Interum. At the age of eighteen, Esther left her family without word and moved to Interum. With her hands finally free to do as she pleased, she enlisted in the Interum Military. Not being a native to Interum, Esther worked her hardest to prove she could be part of their military. For her, there was no going home. Showing that she had quick hands and a highly resourceful mind in learning new technology, she was quickly shoved into the Demolitions/Heavy Weapons Division, and because of her introverted demeanor and rookie-skills, she was a perfect candidate for the BGO NO-36. She gratefully took the position, determined to prove her worth.
[sub]Other:[/sub]
Esther keeps a black, wool prayer rope on her at all times.
