My apologies, I tend to leave my first character's bio in any RP as open-ended as possible so I can get a 'feel' for the atmosphere of the RP, especially with people I haven't written with before. He's not going to remain independent and unaffiliated for very long into the RP if that's your concern, and I wrote him in a way that he'll be able to jump quickly into any major organization once the RP is rolling, probably under pretense of a contract to serve as an extended part of some formal military unit.

As for Serkan's work history, he's done a little of both of what you mentioned, but has never had a 'concrete', permanent role in any military or police units. As we get into the RP I was going to reveal that his jobs [i]mostly[/i] entailed earning bounties to catch criminals, mostly highwaymen or fugitives. He has on rare occasion served in militaries as a mercenary under a contract, though usually only for limited amounts of time as he earns better pay working for smaller communities like small, local villages and the like.
