Personality: 
Cynthia is generally an apathetic individual. Not much seems to bother her at all. Remorseless, she seems to lack a moral compass and would sooner drain her enemies of their vitality than spare them to fight another day. However, while she is generally a quiet individual, combat brings out her blood lust, and, as a result, Cynthia will goad her enemies into attacking her. Those that do approach her for conversion outside of battle are treated to eloquent speeches, much to their enjoyment or chagrin. Cynthia craves true challenges, to the point she will even make simple tasks needlessly complicated. She is also power-hungry and will do anything to increase her capabilities. 

Biography:
While she has no idea who her real parents are, Cynthia was left in the care of Valerian Aubade, a well-respected albeit eccentric Sorcerer, and grew to be his apprentice. Unfortunately, Valerian was not the man he seemed. He was temperamental, violent, and vain, always blaming his apprentice for his failures. With nowhere else to go in the world, Cynthia was forced to accept the abuse. When the time was right though, she swore she'd escape from this life. She needed to learn everything she could from him first.

After a particularly harrowing night, wherein her master was on the brink of actually killing her, Cynthia decided the time was right to leave and make her own legacy. So, at the age of 15, the young girl fled into the woods, away from that horrible place she had suffered so long at. Knowing she was not yet strong enough to kill Valerian, she resolved to master the dark arts on her own, anyway that she could. She would give anything for power.

12 years later, Cynthia has garnered her own reputation as a capable Dark Mage. While she generally had no interest in the Church or the worship of Naga, the rumors of a Crusade greatly interested the woman. Surely the cult of Grima had secrets, right? Secrets that could increase her power exponentially. Plus, it gives her an opportunity to show off her growing power... 

Though she's not even sure her former master is still alive after all these years, she will take any trial to surpass Valerian.
