"I told you, you were hurt" "No I'm not, I feel fine." "The doctor just said you almost shattered your wrist doing that." "But I didn't." "Your right, its just a fracture." A sweet smile on the albino's features, Aurora leaned over the counter at the hospital, they said she was a bit too old for this place, but her family insisted that she got herself checked out as fast as she could. It must have been bad though. One of the doctors knowing her history for injuries did not complain, saying internal bleeding or head injuries could kill her if she waits as long as she usually dose. She did not really care though. With one of the stable grooms at her side acting as a guide. She found herself thinking back to the rush of trick riding, it was like jumping out of an air plane with no parachute. She might have to keep that style, to do acrobatics while Loki is going at a full charge? It was enough to take the air out of her lungs. Her wrist did not hurt while she was riding. Not even a bit, and so she continued for a few minutes..hour hours, yes maybe hours. Only realizing the damage when she tried to untack her stallion and dropped just his bridal. Now she was stuck in the chemical smelling halls, with sounds of machines. Only welcome break of the routine was children, it was sweet hearing their comments when seeing an oddity. Asking why she has a stick or white hair, who knows, she might ask if they would want her to come back and perform for the little ones. Even so, the words saying she could leave were more than welcome. "Aright, thank you, come on Sam." Tapping her cane on the clean tiled floor she was already out the door, her left hand in a black and blue cast, moving a bit awkwardly. "Aright Aurora, come on I'll take you back to the barn." Feeling a hand on her back the smaller woman was quick to move away from the groom. She felt herself biting the inside of her cheek in annoyance at the gesture, stopping her movements as she turned her head to feel up. "Nah, its the perfect day, no real sun, but still warm. Loki is taken care of, so tell my father that I'm going to take a walk." She could hear the uneasiness in the worker. The blind daughter of her boss leaving her? "No please Aurora, lets go back an-" silenced with a tap of her cane, Aurora turned to the voice. An old habit of rebelling to unasked help rising up. "I'm a grown woman, I can take care of myself. So I'm going for a walk, and your going to tell my father whatever you want." Walking away in a fit of anger. She counted the steps it took until the groom left. A sigh escaping her lips but a wave of relief that this time she actually left. She heard there was a music store around here. The place spiking her interest at the idea that she could gather more for her collection. Asking around she began following a path that was shown to her. The sound of cars passing by, and a dog barking making her feel like she was going the right way. Least somewhat. The smell of a pizza place and the ringing bell of a clothing store indicated she was getting close to an area where many shopped. Yet it did not take long for her to feel the uneasiness of being stalked. Heavy foot steps trying to hid. The sound muffled on ether side she found herself in a ally of some kind. She waisted no time, a hand grasping over her face, her mask took it's place on her features. Her cane falling from her fingers she rummaged through her bag to produce a plain leather journal, only to open it once more for the cover to take on its true appearance. Click "Aright sweet heart, hate to go for the handicapped, but we all need to make a living." It was a male, older than her, slightly intoxicated. She did not turn, her book resting in her damaged arm as her fingers trailed the pages. "Keep being polite and we won't have any problems, just put everything down and I won't blow your fucking brains out." All Raven had done was take a deep breath. Her body still to his demands, he held the gun with no shake. His voice ebbed that same pattern most do when they are known to foul acts. "I'm sorry, but I can not allow you to roam these streets." Her words spoken she dodged the gun when he tried to hit her in the back of her skull. Turning on her heel as she began to speak. "He seeks were we are lost, eyes the color of moss, with heart beating true he only wishes to find you." The sound of snapping jaws and ravenous scratching like growls harmonized with screams and gun shots like a middle school band. The Grim's claws scrapping at the ground, his jaws wrapping around the man's arm, disarming him as he screamed for his life. True terror in his voice at the strange beast. "Easy my friend, we do not kill ones like this." Instead she took the gun that slid across the ground, pointing the barrel at the stone floor she felt for the safety to turn it back on. Walking to the screams with a calmness, ignoring the questions of what was she to do. All she did was rise it above her head, crashing it on the side of his face to knock him out. Reaching out to feel the coarse fur and scaled hide of the Grim, Aurora felt a sigh escape her lips. "Thank you my friend, can you do one last thing before you leave? This man needs medical help, think you can lead someone here?" Listening to the running paws she nodded her head, removing her mask, grabbing her cane and leaving the scene. Looking like a normal woman enjoying a walk. Even jumping when she heard the screams of others at the sight of her Grim. Though it was just an act. It wouldn't take too long now, not many can resit the temptation of following a beast that looks so strange. "Well that takes care of that..." Closing the book she put it back in her bag. Feeling the wall to her right with her cane only to find out that she was lost, the smell of pizza was gone, no music playing in tiny stores or groups of people on the side walks. "Oh dear" once she was lost, it was beyond a pain to find her way back. A hand running through her hair she pulled it a bit in frustration. "Excuse me can yo-" trying to ask someone for help she was met with silence. More were just too interested at the chaos that had just happened. "Oh no." Again and again she tried to ask for help, yet it seemed like she was a ghost. Most passing her by without a word indicating she spoke to anyone at all. "All I wanted to do was head to a music store." She rested her back on a wall in defeat, cane before her as she held her face for a moment to think. Come now, she found ways to get back home when lost before. This can't be any different. The phone in her pocket promises help but that was a last resort. Using it would mean that she really did loose.
