"We'll work it out somehow." He responded to Alex with a grin. "With me on the job we'll have the whole lot full in like a couple days tops." Getting all down about things he couldn't control wouldn't help anybody so he'd just keep pulling forward until the problem was fixed somehow. The 'everything's going to be alright' mentality he had was probably not suited to living in the apocalypse but it was the only way he knew how to act.

He breathed a sigh of relief when Jess took Kyre of his hands. "He's your problem now. Make sure he doesn't do anything too stupid." Not wanting to give either of them any time to change their minds, he figured it was time to get out of the building as soon as possible.
