Revolutionary Kurtiye World of Aishka Two Months Ago Aishka, a backwater, seemly unimportant world along the fringes of Kurtiye Space, and yet this world and its system will play host to one of the more fiercer campaigns in the Civil War, and for the Ascendancy, where they have dedicated most of their expeditionary force in support of their allies, the Young Kurts. Due to the low manpower of the Young Kurts, the Ascendancy was kind enough to provide the ground troops necessary to even the odds against the overwhelming numbers of the Ozgerssary. The planet and the system itself had been under the iron grip of the Ozgerssaries since the beginning of the war, and due to its location, had mostly been left alone with the exception of those rare raids. However, the leaders of the Ascendancy's 5th Expeditionary Force saw it fit to cease the defensive war they had waged with the revolutionaries and had convinced the leaders of the Young Kurts faction to follow suit. Now, the Coalition fleet launches its first offensive to retake the system. -------------------- Aboard the Battle Carrier Exalted Wrath Hanger Bay Seventy-two armored troopers lined up in an orderly fashion, standing at attention as a tall imposing Nassu paced back and forth, he has gone by the name Gharz Argo. "Alright you small worms." He said in intimating, gruff gravelly voice. "We're going in along with the first wave." He paused as he pulled out a small holo-display device, it lit with life as a large holo model of Musa City appeared. "Our mission is simple: secure a beachhead for the rest of the liberation force." Some of the more green troopers were getting nervous, excited, and eager for the fight. "Won't be a cakewalk." Gharz said. "Expect heavy resistance, the Ozgers heavily fortified the city, they'll do everything in their power to shoot us out of the skies." Within moments, the alarms started going off as the fleet was within range of the planet. "Ah, just in time...Grave Company, move out!" "Sir, yes sir!" they replied in unison as they rushed to their seats within the several Pilgrim-class Dropships, buckling up. Once all had boarded, the Pilgrims had begun to hum to life as they prepared to jet out of the Hanger Bay, and into the fray. Hundreds of of dropships launched from the hundred ship fleet, all diverting towards one location on the whole planet, the capital itself. The transition from space to the atmosphere was a calm moment, all the more nerve wreaking for the many occupants of the dropships. Within Gharz's ship, he held on to a small rail above him, observing his men as they mentally prepared themselves for the bloody fight ahead. In all their years serving in the 5th Expeditionary force, Grave Company, no all the force, haven't undertaken an operation of this scale in a long while. Gharz noticed one particular soldier looking very pale. "Breakfast not sitting well, jakin?" he asked jokingly. "Sir, yes sir...." He replied weakly. "I'm not gonna make it.." "For Grana's sake, please hold it till we hit ground." A young female soldier next him said. " "Roger...that" Jankin replied. The trip down continued smoothly, however that moment of peace had come to an end as they approached the city, Anti-Air emplacements placed all over the city fired all at once as they lit the skies aflame. Dropships left and right blowing into pieces or shot down as they continued their advance. Gharz's dropship begun to tremor violently as it dodged as many shots as it could. "Hang on!" he shouted, everyone gripping tightly to their harnesses. The dropships of Grave Company stick in close formation as they drew close to the ground. "Get ready to run for it!" the pilot shouted over the intercom. "In three...two.." In that instant, the craft roughly landed, the boarding ramp lowering down as the light entered the room, revealing a ruined city before them. Grave Company and others had landed outside the city, the landscape was barren and rocky, perfect as cover for their approach. "We're not too far! Grave Company, move it!" Gharz ordered as his helmet covered his face as the material slide downward, they all rushed forward as the battle began. All but one of Grave Company stayed behind for but a moment. Janik weakly stepped out of the ship. "Oh thank Grana.." he said as he rushed to a bush and proceeded to...lose his breakfast.
