[@Sep]: If you are going with "copying" powers, I would say that it would be best to stay with one power (set) at a time, like the "nerfed" Peter in Heroes.  Peter prior to the end of the "Villains" arc was way overpowered.

Or you could go down the Animorphs route, as Fallen mentioned.  I wouldn't mind seeing that, either.

Oh, Animorphs.  There was actually an Animorphs roleplay on this site that I was part of a few years ago.  I remember watching some of the television series, but not all of it.

It does not necessarily have to be how they got their powers, but it just needs to be the story that introduces the character to the game.  Even if it only a post or two, it just helps give us an idea about how your character will work in the roleplay.  Plus, it prevents people from hoping into someone else's story line and then disappearing without a trace.
