Depends on what you define 'mutation' as tbh. If your using the Kirby/Lee reasoning, its just your default 'go-to' or 'generic' reasoning, even if it would fit under a better lampshade. (Scarlet Witch being a great example of a mutant who should have mystic backings instead.)
