6) Special training is allowed for certain slaves that show above and beyond loyalty and work ethic
YES, EVERYTHING I PLANNED FOR MY CHARACTER HAS LINED UP SO FAR WITH THE SET UP!!!!!! For a hint, my character is a hard worker who tried to move up the ranks of Galatec for the sake of his family, they were afraid that those who were useless might get thrown away so he worked, out of fear at first and then out of habit, to become more efficient. Eventually that was just who he was. Sure, he had this nagging feeling at the back of his mind that it was wrong but what are you going to do? Life isn't a comic book, he was one person, no matter how skilled. It was an unrealistic dream so he threw it away, wouldn't you? In real life, even strong people have to look at the facts. My characters kind of a person who thinks things through, maybe too much... Anyway, I like learning more about the new world! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MORE!! [@SoleAccord] My point wasn't that you'd have good memories, my point was that those memories could create a foundation for your personality now. Even if it was ten years, the core of your being can be forged in your youth. And since we were all, at some point, going to become rangers fighting evil. I assumed any ambitions we put off would, at that point, rise to the surface, whatever indoctrination effect occurred earlier wouldn't matter then. I thought that when our perception of the world shifted, we would look inward towards past stories we had heard of "the good old days" and fond memories we had that sparked our latent dreams. I mean, I guess that doesn't matter now because we won't have that forced perception anymore and therefor those memories I mentioned won't make up the core of our beings....I just wanted to clarify my thought process a little... So yeah, I did that.. ANYWAY, again, really like the world building here!
