''I know why you remember that so good'' Vanessa said with a grin and shook her head. ''You really are a bad guy'' she said joking and gave him a sweet kiss on his cheek. She had made a cup of tea for herself and drank from it a little. She looked at Daisy and saw how she looked at her son and smiled. ''He is save Daisy, don't worry'' she said and Daisy nodded. ''I know honey, that's not it. You changed Xaven.. When you left you were still a boy.. Now you lost that.. You really have grown while on that journey with Marcus'' Daisy said. Vanessa smiled. ''He still has his moments'' she said. ''Oh I hope so yes'' Daisy said. Vanessa looked at Daisy with a smile, she knew how worried the women had been when Xaven had gone on the road trip with his uncle. ''Come girls, let's keep it light here'' George said with a smile and Vanessa giggled softly.

Lesley turned around but didn't look at him, or at least focused on his face. She waited but when he changed she was shocked. ''How ?!'' she asked and did a few steps back. ''Like he said.. His great great great grandfather was one.. It can not be given to you when you are bit'' Ralph said as he came from his hiding place. ''Vanessa knows this?'' Lesley asked. ''Yes, she is our Alpha female'' Ralph said. ''Already was since she was introduced to us by Xaven on our first summer camp together.. Not any other girl was allowed in our group'' Ralph said. ''Walk up to him, he won't bite.. If he does, he has trouble with Vanessa and Xaven.. And I don't know who is more scary'' Ralph said.

Lesley did a few steps toward Drake and when she was close enough, she reached her hand out to him. He moved closer and they touched. Lesley looked at him. ''You really are a dog'' she said and sighed. ''Now I am really gonna buy you a pink outfit... Or at least a pink blouse'' she said and then wrapped her arms around his neck. ''And still.. I am a mermaid, for Vanessa at least.. I really do have a tail'' she said
