[@AirBender] Since their so many posts about it maybe we just say it's in an abandoned part of the castle? I assume it would have been part of the area's that were attacked and possibly during the war and it fell into disrepair while new area's were more taken of and needed to fit the growing Sky Knights and standing army.

It only still be standing because it's a monument to the Shepherds who saved Ylisse.
