Haha, well it's something I've had in mind since his inception. I can't really explain it but as I was writing him I just pictured a scene where his abuela would have negative things to say about American culture based on what they saw on TV. I could just see that ruminating with him, especially being exposed to such turmoil upon moving to the States. Buuuut, I think I might take it out lol.
