I liked Eragon when I was -- eight. But...I am not eight any more.

I still totally disagree that it's a rip-off of Star Wars, though. I think that they both just use a lot of basic tropes/cliches -- SWs itself was very derivative of 50s Samurai movies and the like (and as you can tell from the fact that Paoloni looks at [i]a[/i] book on how to make Japanese swords when he wants to write about western European ones -- Paoloni likes Japan). It was still a load of fun, though. Unlike Eragon (nowadays, anyway).
