In the extremely dim light, he may or may not immediately notice before stepping in that the stone slab floor slopes down steeply from all four walls, falling away into a dark pit in the center of the chamber.  Each of the slabs is slick with slime.  The slightest misstep would send one sliding toward the pit...[/i]
