Inane wasn't too happy with his current situation as he made his way to the Earthly Gate. What did it matter if the Titans had resurfaced after all these years? Let them wreak havoc on the humans. They were a boring species anyway. However his father had done everything short of ordering him to go to Earth and investigate the incident. His uncle Zeus would also be sending a daughter and Inane was to assist her. Inane scowled at the thought of needing a Goddess's help. He figured that was the part that he hated the most about this ordeal. But his father felt partly responsible for the Titans escaping since they had been imprisoned here in the Underworld, locked away deep within Tartarus. But why him? There were thousands of lesser demons at his father's disposal so why had Inane been entrusted with the mundane task of playing detective with Little Miss Goody Two-Shoes? Hades had explained to him that Zeus required his brother to send a child of worthy enough caliber to deal with the situation. Inane released a frustrated sigh. He guessed that was his father's way of showing he cared. His twin brother Nec hadn't been chosen for obvious reasons. He was reckless and had an insatiable appetite for destruction. Inane at least could stay focused, regardless of whether or not he enjoyed the task at hand. Approaching the Earthly Gate, Inane took the time to quickly disguise his demonic features. He could really care less about the fate of the humans above but Inane still didn't need the added hassle of trying to do his job while scaring the living daylights out of unsuspecting passersby. His deep crimson eyes withdrew into a more subtle pale green and his pointed ears rounded at the tips. His horns, wings, and tail also disappeared but Inane decided to leave his fangs. He didn't want to make himself too human in case he did need to scare someone later. Checking his reflection in the River Styx that ran alongside the Earthly Gate showed him that he was as good as ready. Before he could change his mind and say 'up yours' to dear old dad, Inane stepped through the Gate to Earth, already not looking forward to meeting Zeus's golden child.
