No one expected it to turn out like this. Who would've thought that it would snow... in September? God was definitely screwing with everyone, especially the school. Burnswick Private Academy students were supposed to be coming in a week earlier to get settled in and complete different activities before classes started, only for the only road to the school to be completely covered in the icy white. Professors were scrambling to get things ready. There's was only enough food for a month at the school before the snowstorm and they were now low on supplies. Extra help would have to be hired to get students' bags to their rooms while they attended their first class. There wasn't even an opening speech from the Headmaster! The speech would be held at dinner instead, while 2-4th years went right to their homeroom and freshman went to a plan B freshmen orientation. It was a rather hectic start of the year indeed! Melanie Walking through the school in such an extenuating circumstances made her head spin. Melanie had brought in her three bags, squeaking as they were pedaled away by hired help. She continued on to year 3's hallway, goosebumps crawling up and down her arms under her navy blazer and a shortage of breath. There hadn't been time to look at the role list of who was in her class and that bugged her. If Gigi wasn't in her class... no no no, shut up! The girl straightened up, slapped her cheeks lightly, and readjusted her glasses. After preparing herself, she slipped on her emotionless expression and walked into her Homeroom. Only one or two students had already arrived, so she didn't bother greeting them. The podium in the front of the classroom read off their seats alphabetically, so she took her seat around the back. This year... would she be able to do it? To... tell Gigi she was her friend?
