Personality: D'Artagnan is brash, but clever. He is not skilled at judging his limits, and is often considered brave. Though his academic intelligence is mediocre at best, his sheer cleverness is almost unmatched. He's a hopeless romantic and is fiercely loyal to those he calls his friends. He has almost no filter on his speech and mostly just says whatever comes to mind    

History:  Born in Southern France, he was the son of a noble.  He was trained in Rapier and pistol from a young age, gaining a sort of legendary skill with them. When he grew older, he served faithfully under a man named Mazarin. When the King’s advisor falsely accused Mazarin of treason, he was sent to be exiled. As Mazarin left France, he was guarded from assassins and noble-hating mobs every step of the way. During the exile, D'Artagnan served the people around him, gaining a sort of Robin Hood esque reputation as a champion of the people. He was part of a plot that exposed the lies of the king’s advisor. Upon the reveal of his treachery, the advisor was exiled and D’Artagnan was made head of the king’s musketeers. While in service to the king,  D’Artagnan defended him faithfully, but was not afraid to challenge his opinion. Eventually, D'Artagnan was killed during a battle in a war between the Netherlands and France.

(Based on D’Artagnan’s legendary skill as a duelist, though there is no direct parallel to an ability of this nature in actual history or in Dumas’s novel. It is meant to outline his skill in one on one battle)
