Last day of the previous year... "If you don't mind me asking, Headmaster, did I do something wrong?" The young, ash-blonde girl twiddled with her fingers as she waited patiently for the head of the school to explain this sudden meeting. Her summer was so close, yet there was something up that needed her to be here. Was he getting upset at her bad math grades? Paranoia began to build up in the tiny girl as she waited to get the scolding of her life. The older man sat up straight and pushed his glasses inward. His eyes leered over the darling girl, who was one of Burnswick Private Academy's role models. Clearing his throat, the man pried into the student's life, "Ms. Young, it seems that there are rumors going around the school about you and Mr. Ackerson." Rumors? The girl confusingly stared at the Headmaster, not saying a word until he gave her permission to talk. He continued, "You are by far one of the most honorable students we have here at Burnswick. I'd trust you wouldn't lie to me, if the rumors were true." "I wouldn't lie to you ever, Sir." Gigi seriously wanted him to cut to the chase. Her nerves were making her stomach churn. Her sea green eyes watched his hand as it scribbled something on a piece a paper, he chuckled, "I'm sure if it were true, your father wouldn't be happy!" Biting her bottom lip, the young teen just wanted to die. The matter seemed serious. Clasping his hands together, he leaned in and gradually asked, "You wouldn't be dating Mr. Ackerson, would you?" Mouth dropping, Gigi couldn't believe what her ears were hearing, "Uh, no sir... we're not dating I-" "You two are some of the more... influential kids of your year. I do trust you're telling the truth. However, with such rumors going around, I do think you should distance yourself from him or show your peers how a lady should act, Ms. Young. His reputation precedes him, which is never a good thing in the halls of my school." The Headmaster was manipulating her best friend to be some kind of criminal. Maki didn't deserve this judgement, but she knew her friend would not want her to start a scene with the one guy that could expel her. Rather than argue, she agreed in defeat, "Okay, Sir. I'll see what I can do." "That's all I ask of you. Now, you're free to go. Have a great summer!" Getting up, Gigi walked to the door, the deep feeling in her gut not having left. Before she opened it, the headmaster suggestively said one last thing, "Oh! Ms. Young! I do hope you run for a Student Council postion, I think you'd make a fine leader one day." With that, the girl left contemplating the incident that had just unfolded.
~
Gigi spent her summer working and avoiding Mackien, while she tried to evaluate their relationship. She rarely slept and her fathers had to remind her to eat.
~
(Oh my goodness! These dark circles are going to be THE DEATH OF ME.) Putting foundation on under her eyes, the young girl tried to cover up her lack of sleep summer with cover up. "Baby! Your dad is gonna give me hell if you aren't out this door in five minutes. The roads are atrocious. Thank god James sent your luggage a day early." Virgil waited at the door for his daughter with her last packed lunch until she came back home from vacation and a bag filled with chocolate banana oatmeal muffins and small cinnamon roll cakes. Both suitable as a breakfast dessert. Speeding downstairs with snowboots (her school shoes packed in her backpack), and a warm coat, she grabbed her lunch, kissed her father's cheek, "I love you papa! I'll call you when I get the chance~" and carefully made her way down the porch stairs. Luckily for her, her parents only lived two blocks from the school. Her papa had offered to take her but she felt like it was safer to walk to school. The brisk air made Gigi's cheeks pink as she trudged in the unexpected snow. Making it to school in twelve minutes rather than her usual six minutes, without busting her ass, Gigi told the men at the front her things were already here. Taking a deep breath in, she exhaled, "Here at last!" The coldness made her forget temporary of the all nighter she pulled recently. Catching her breath, she opened her bag of treats and grinned. [sub][@Fabricant451][/sub] The shattering of glass was heard. Gigi jumped, a bit startled. She noticed... Darien, throwing snowballs at students not only at windows but at the new freshmen. Approaching cautiously, but aiming to not stay there too long, Gigi took out a clear side gusset gift bag (which was inside her larger treat bag) that held both desserts. She had made individual baggies for her classmates so it would be easier to distribute, it was tied with white ribbon that had rainbow polka dots. "G-Good morning, Darien! It's a bit... cold outside." She really didn't want to be verbally attacked by this girl so she quickly handed her the treats and politely bowed, "I hope you come to school today, it would be nice to see if we shared a class together! Um... Maybe... Maybe it's best if you..." She wanted to say stop bullying the freshmen but instead, Gigi blurted out, "Come inside! You'll catch a cold. OkByeSeeYouLater." The tiny girl literally bolted inside, not waiting for a response. Unbeknownst, Gigi scurried passed snowball face Alex ([sub][@alexfangtalon][/sub]). Her scent of sweet pea perfume in the air. She may have also almost slipped on ice. Why was Darien so intimidating? Going to the girls' locker room in the gym and taking her snowboots off, Gigi placed all her unneeded belongings in a locker she has claimed since freshmen year. She didn't have time to go to her dorm room, so the gym locker would do just fine. No longer with her coat or snowboots, she took out a lock and placed it on the locker, closing it nice and tightly. NOW, she was ready to find her homeroom. Gigi was excited to see who was in her class this year! (Maybe Melon Drop~ that would be so awesome!) [sub][@AimeChambers][@RiverMaiden][@sakurasan][@Ace of flames01][/sub] Entering her homeroom, the first person she noticed was indeed her Melon Drop! With her backpack on her back, her treat bag in her left hand, Gigi waved with her free hand at her darling friend, sticking out her tongue in a cutesy manner to her. Going to the podium, before she looked at the seating chart, the young girl bowed once more, knowing very well not everyone was here. Talking in front of a class was less intimidating than talking in front of the entire school body. With a chirpy (I didn't sleep for days) loud voice, most likely waking up the sleeping person in the back, Gigi exclaimed, "Morning everyone! I brought chocolate banana oatmeal muffins and small cinnamon roll cakes for you guys. I didn't know what the entire class would like as a whole, so I just made two treats! I hope we have a great year together~" Her stare met with the albino's eyes... (Is that Beryl? The person Mr. Snyder suggested...?) Her wide eyes lingered on his...her...face intently, contemplating their appearance and unable to determine it. Gigi's heart sank when she saw Maki talking to him. (Why... Why is he in here?) Peering down at the seating chart, she caught sight of where she sat: back and center, oh nice. Trying to not make things awkward, she went to Beryl's desk first. She handed both her best friend and the albino a baggie. Giving her best friend a smile, to hide her inner conflict, she then asked the kid she didn't know, if he...her...they were indeed the kid her teacher told her about, "Are you Beryl? If you are, I was wondering if we could talk after class... it's about..." (Make something up, everyone's listening...) "The homecoming event! I want to wait until after class, I'm simply delivering a message from, um, a teacher." She lied, but her smile never wavered. The popular girl waited patiently for a response.
