[@RiverMaiden] Well it's hard to constantly call your character 'it' or 'they' xD plus that's near the end of my post, so by then I was just typing shit quickly. 

This was my way of working around that whole problem: 

Her wide eyes lingered on his face intently, [color=ed1c24]contemplating his appearance and unable to determine it[/color]. Her heart sank when she saw Maki talking to him.
