You're mixing up swinging Ron around with releasing the True Name. Gray's never released the True Name. And I wouldn't say Nasu's treating the conditions as unimportant, since it's specifically  mentioned in Lancer Alter's profile that you need to unlock them before releasing the True Name. There's that condition set up in canon mechanics, so I won't be ignoring it. When you app a canon, you app a canon.
