The smile faded away and she began chewing on her lip in thought. He knew this was an important time in her decision on him, but he couldn't help thinking about how cute she looked when she did that. It put a innocent look on her face that melted him inside. The urge to kiss her was so strong he felt like he was going to explode from the pressure. But he knew he couldn't. In fact, her hesitation probably already meant she wasn't interested. It had felt like she was interested, the way she'd held onto his arm. Then her phone began to buzz. And buzz. And buzz. Whatever was happening with her phone, wouldn't stop. Jackson's face fell blank as he stared at it. Was she- Yes. She answered it, briefly apologizing. In the dark part of his mind, he felt angry. Not at Ana, but whoever was texting her. This was their moment. That perfect special time, that felt like hours, when it was only really minutes. Luckily she finished with the interferor quickly. Jackson smiled kindly at her as she tried to apologize, stuttering over her words. To be honest he was quite nervous himself, he almost didn't trust himself to speak for the anticipation of her choice was simply killing him. "It's fine, I don't care about the phone." The words came out soft, barely above a whisper, so they had to lean close together. Leaning forward just a little bit more, his head came to a rest at hers. Foreheads together his heart thudded like a giant drum in his chest. It seemed like it was the only thing he could hear. For a moment he closed his eyes, trying to calm himself down. To not say something stupid that would ruin the moment. Opening them it seemed to him that Ana was just as nervous. Which probably meant he shouldn't kiss her again. Just give her a second to think about it, at least. Stepping back from their intimate position, Jackson took of his coat and laid it on the sand. It was a nice coat, but he didn't have a care in the world for it right now. Grabbing her hand once again, he pulled her lightly down so that they were sitting, facing towards the ocean. Letting go of her hand, he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her in close to him. Her body was warm next to his. A pleasant feeling with the nice cool ocean breeze. They weren't really doing anything, but Jackson was happy. It was simple. Nice and simple.
