Ben Solo
Uncle Luke's hug felt suffocating, overwhelming so. Mostly because of the feeling that drifted off of him. In his entire life he hadn't known anyone other than uncle Luke who held such a presence. It spoke volumes but only in whispers, it glowed bright and whipped out gently with intangible tails. Whenever he drew near his uncle, he always felt warm... It was hard not to grasp his uncle back in turn. He had tried to remain irate with his mother for sending him away. As well as utterly pissed at his father for... well not being around much. But not even that resentment could keep him from embracing his uncle. For a long pause his arms remained at his side, then slowly he reached up, chuckled youthfully, and hugged him back. "I knew you were here before the droid," he started. He took a step away as he pondered the emotions and experience. "I could feel you ... kinda. It was like, simply knowing. I just knew it was you and I just knew you were here. You're very... bright." He told his uncle with a smirk. As let the feeling enter his guarded heart, he noticed a similar feeling reaching through him. His eyes fell onto Odette as he followed its line to the source. So she was like Luke too, only a embarrassingly smaller mote. Ben chuckled and the wind brushed across his person. He readjusted his bag on his shoulder as his Uncle recounted his history with the girl. She's connected to the Force huh? Not as if I understand what it means. But... she makes me nervous for some reason. Solo stepped up, his face just as tense and sculpted as when he left the ship. The field grew quiet around him and he was forced to measure the moments by his beating heart and not some natural sound or phenomenon. He felt that if his uncle had not been around that he wouldn't had paid her any mind, that he wouldn't had even noticed her connection to what many had called a "myth". But he knew it wasn't, he was connected to that great essence himself. He felt its ethereal touch in all and knew that it was real. Lately though, he'd been fearful of it. Either way, it wasn't the place to recount the many times he had grasped the Force in anger on accident. So he quickly pointed out a flaw in the girl to get his awkward pause forgotten. He looked at her wondrous blonde hair and radiant bold eyes before deciding that her appearance wasn't a choice. "You're connected to the Force?" he pointed out. "I suppose if uncle Luke decided to take you in that you must be worth something. I wonder how long it'll take me to catch up?" He stood there, staring into her eyes as if to issue an unspoken declaration. "Oh and by the way, the name's Ben. Just, Ben," he added out of habit.
