Taking matters into her own hand, she pulled the shy student up and said, "Lets go to the bathroom together! I can talk to you while we walk~" Not knowing what gender this person was, the sweet girl tried to think of an easy temporary escape, for both of them. She was worried he/she would pass out from all the strong personalities in the room but at the same time, she needed to clear her mind (avoid Maki). Her best friend had expressed how he missed her and she couldn't help but tense up. The baker was a piss poor liar when it came to her friends (not so much strangers and authority figures), "Mm. Sorry! Stealing your new friend now." Her smile was weak, as she avoided eye contact with him. And with that, she held onto the coat cuff of Beryl's jacket and left the room to go to a water fountain, which wasn't too far from the classroom. After having left the treats on Beryl's desk and leaving the room, she let go of his cuff and walked in silence for a moment.
OOC: Aime-chan, I hope you don't mind me creating the homeroom teacher NPC Mrs. Castro, an Italian woman (29 years old), who is usually always bubbly and never seems to be unnerved by a situation. Her positive nature can come off as unnerving (like how is someone that happy?). She won't take any bullshit from her students but at the same time, she does care. If you talk back to her or sass her out, she will ignore you completely, giving no attention to the little children of her class. She teaches Biology for the Second Years.
As they walked, their homeroom teacher, Mrs. Elizabeth Castro, a tiny, voluptuous woman, was making her way to the room, "Oh! Genevieve and you must be Beryl, I've heard so much about you from Mr. Snyder!! I'm glad you guys already made friends with each other. May I ask where you two are going?" The older woman's eyes were soft and her smile warmed her students' hearts. The teacher also knew Gigi from homeroom freshmen year, so this made the baker feel a little better about this school year. "I feel a little faint, Mrs. Castro. Beryl is going to get water with me." The rolemodel had selective lying skills, she was great at lying to a teacher to make a situation better but couldn't fake her emotions to her best friend. "Do you need to go to the nurse? I can write a slip!" the homeroom teacher worryingly asked. "Oh no, I'll be fine! Plus, I wouldn't miss my first day of classes for anything!" The teacher gave a playful eye roll and checked the time, "A good student as always, just don't forget to take care of yourself. You won't retain much if you're feeling under the weather. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll see you guys when you return." Watching the teacher saunter away with her plump bottom, Gigi nodded to herself and once again, her and the shy kid went to walk to the fountain by the bathrooms. When they finally arrived, the girl bowed down apologetic, I'm so sorry for dragging you out here! I just couldn't help but notice you look... unwell. Um, also, about earlier... the homecoming thing was a lie... I actually want to ask you something else." Burnswick's sweetheart bit her lip and revealed an expression not many people see often, a genuine nervous and scared face. Looking down at her feet, she tried to gain the courage to ask Beryl a simple question. Without a doubt, this would seem like a confession. Grabbing the ends of her skirt, she stuttered, "I-I was... wondering... um..." Her voice trailed off. Why was she so scared to ask for help? Perhaps because she rarely ever asked for help, not wanting to burden anyone with her problems. Unfortunately, this was a dire situation. She NEEDED to get at least a B in math class! Her daddy was so upset last year when he had to sign her bad tests... "C-can you...and me..." Just do it. Stop prolonging the inevitable! Her eyes got a little teary eyed with the thought of revealing her flaws. Realizing her backpack was still on her back, she quickly took it off and grabbed a white binder out. Taking a deep breath in, she opened the binder and brought it close to Beryl, revealing an F math test from last year in the left pouch (at the top had James Young's signature). "I really, really, REALLY need help. I barely survived last year! Mr. Snyder told me you were one of his star students." Closing her binder, she bowed once more, "Please Beryl! I beg of you. I know we just met, but-but I can repay you. Money, treats, or even convincing Mrs. Castro to switch seats!" She blurted out the last part, not realizing by doing that she would have to sit next to Maki. Even so, she knew the influence she had on the staff and was positive she could make it happen. A sacrifice to make for the sake of getting a good grade...
