Ben Solo
Odette had claimed to know the trail like the back of her hand. Ben believed her. But he was having a hard time giving her even a inch of insight. He didn't want anyone close to him, not even Luke. All he had wanted was his mom, his home, and his planet back. They weren't around him anymore and that could have been his excuse for being emotional but the truth was, being emotional was the reason he was sent there. If he spoke openly to himself than this was the perfect time to get it under control. Maybe if he gave his training an actual shot... He looked over at Odette as she walked than. A good few feet behind her, he doubted she'd noticed. A hand fell into his trouser pocket as he did, his eyes staring intently at the veil of blonde hair that hid her face. So far she seemed a bit spunky, stubborn too but most of all she was kind. Ben shook her out of his head as they came across a thick piece of lumber. She crossed it skillfully, with a practice that was near impressive. Once across, he started on it himself. The piece of wood wasn't nearly as wide as he had thought. His boots started to slip near the end, causing him to fall to one knee. He didn't even think about looking down, he only saw the end of the crossing in front of him. He wobbled up to a stand before hurrying to the other side. Once there, he glanced over at the somewhat daring fall below. It wasn't life-endangering but it would hurt if he fell into the small stream. He sensed the sharpened and edged stones beneath. Odette hadn't even thought about warning him, she only continued on. They reached a lakeside field soon afterwards. He strood across the dark green grass, the trees that lined the area was full and short compared to the ones he was use to. They were turning dull now, rusting. Odette sat down in the field as soon as she got there. The young Solo took a few steps ahead of her as she did, looking around and taking in the environment. He was getting ready to venture towards the water when Odette spoke about his anger. She was right. The walk had done little to quell his mind but it had become a mometary distraction. The young Solo kept his back to her as she spoke. His anger was building for the most part of her speech. His fist clenching tightly. It was eerie that she had known how he felt. Then again, it was the same way with him. Whatever the "Force" was, it guided him to answers that he didn't know. Lately however, he had only felt an intense malice. The wind carried his relief as the rest of her speech calmed him. She was empthatizing not invading, that made all the difference to him. Maybe he could learn a few things from her. Ben turned around, walked towards her, and plopped down near her wordlessly. His leg was outstretched beside her while the other was bent; he propped his hand against the grass behind him while the other nervously itched at the back of his neck. He stared at the ground for several long seconds before finally looking up at her. "Thanks for the pick-up, Pushy." It was ridiculous to try wit with her. He just didn't have the charm for it or so he thought. "So if we're done making me feel better, why don't you tell me a little about the Force. I'm hoping to get something out of this little walk, even if its just another lecture from you. Besides... I like how bright you and uncle... I mean master Luke are, its nice."
