Clary had started taking notes as class finally got underway, but the longer Kane droned on about merfolk, she found herself doodling in the margin of her journal. She closed her eyes a moment before she heard Drake’s voice near her ear. “So, are merfolk really this boring or is it just they’re that plain?” he whispered and Clary shrugged a but with a smile. “Probably both.” She whispered back, and once Kane stopped the class and spoke to Billie, both Drake and Clary turned to look at their friend and saw her face break into a slight smirk. “Sorry, Professor.” She said, but the look on her face said it all. Kane had basically given her full license to cause mayhem with her own things and it had made Billie very happy. Clary and Drake both turned back forward and smiled. “This class just got to be a whole new kind of interesting.” Clary whispered and Drake nodded. While Kane continued on with the lesson, Clary made a tic-tac-toe board in the margin and she slid it over to Drake and the two had began playing until there was the announcement of an assignment. Clary sighed. She already had ALD and Aura reading homework, but at least this assignment would be simple. “What’s the matter?” Drake asked and Clary shrugged. “Nothing. Just has ALD and Aura reading homework too. The ALD is giving me trouble.” Clary said, and Drake gave her a smile. “Sal, Cole, and I are having a study group in the cafeteria. You’re more than welcome to join us.” Drake said and Clary smiled. “Thanks, I’ll meet you guys there.” She said, but when Drake and Sal were called into Kane office. Clary gave him a smile and spoke again, “We will wait for you guys.” Drake nodded and headed over towards Sal, waiting for him to stand. “Thank you again, Willow. I’ll see you later.” He waved a little and felt Drake’s hands on either shoulder as he led him towards the office. Drake had become even more protective over Sal since the last vision he had nearly took what he had left of his sight. Sal was trying to make sure he didn’t worry, but Drake couldn’t help it after watching him walking into an opened door this morning. Once they were in the office with Kane, Drake made sure Sal took his seat before he took the one beside it and he watched as Kane brought out a paperback textbook. He saw the smile light up Sal’s face, and once Kane finished explaining it, Drake smiled too. “Thank you, Professor. This helps a lot. But I’m not fluent in Elvish like I am the others, so forgive me if I have more questions on it.” Drake nodded. “Really, thanks professor. But I do have a question. Since Sal nor I really don’t have a head teacher, are things really that bad in our world? I haven’t been home in a while, especially since Sal’s vision this summer took him a while to recover from. I’m just concerned. And need to know if I need to keep a closer eye on my brother here.” He asked, and Sal looked in Drake’s direction. “I don’t remember much of the vision. Just really dark, heavy auras. The Arch Mage has my journal. He said the vision I had filled over half of it, and he’s still trying to make sense of most of it.” Sal said before Drake went on. “Drake just doesn’t like when stuff like this happens. It triggers his visions.” -- Alex sat there, and after a moment he began taking notes. Merfolk were by far the most boring race he could think of, even Elves weren’t as flat as the Merfolk were. He sighed a bit, and shook his head, looking over towards his sister once the cup broke over Darren’s head. He shook his own head a bit and went back to writing down a few things before he heard the assignment. Wouldn’t be took difficult. Aside from History and Realms, he could just speed through this. But he was just glad that he would be able to relax a bit after class. He’d be going to spend some more time with Jo, and with the way things had gone today…that sounded like the best thing for him. He stood up, gathering his things, moving back towards Jo when the show began. His eyes immediately shot to Billie who was standing near the front of the gathered crowd, and he saw as Logan caught Devin by the throat. A small smile tugged at his face. He’d have to tell Logan how awesome that looked later on, but once it started getting intense, Alex saw Devin bite him. He watched, a dark chuckle coming from Logan that shook a warning over him. He had snapped, and this was Alexis first time other than the one time he happened upon the aftermath of Logan snapping. It sent chills down him, and one memory came to mind, but it didn’t have time to form as Devin’s words hit his ears. His hand balled into a fist and his eyes blackened over, but once he felt Jo’s hand in his, he looked to her and nodded, his eyes returning to normal. He gave a nod. “Alright.” He whispered, bringing her closer to him and when Devin said something else, he felt the rage come over him again, but he calmed himself. He wouldn’t give Devin the satisfaction again today, but once he felt better, oh, Alex would find a way to make that little shit pay. He saw the vampire teacher come in and break it up, and Alex headed out with Jo as the Arch Mage came in, and he turned to see what happened and he smirked a bit at what Tiffany was doing. “Serves the prick right.” He said. “Come on, let’s get out of the classroom before we get trampled.” He said, trying to help her out of the room. -- The small smirk that came over Darren’s face when Kane had addressed Billie had faded as soon as he had comprehended it. Well, so much for that bitch getting in trouble, but there were other ways to get her to a point where she’d get herself kicked out of the school. Still, he felt eyes on them and he had turned to see them coming from the vampire sitting next to Billie. Darren shrugged it off, and turned back forward. Once Rose answered him he smirked. No one was giving merfolk enough credit. Of all the pure beings, they were the easiest to corrupt, as he had learned over the years. They were actually quite fun when the cards were down. He looked at Rose when she spoke and he nodded to his name. “I hope you get to meet one some day. They’re a riot.” He said. “But this is only when they’re starting to like the darker side of things.” Once the assignment was set, Darren rolled his eyes a bit. A piece of cake. He’d have it done in less than 30 minutes if he actually sat there and decided to do it. He still had to get his dorm settled again. After Vaughn left last year, he hadn’t gotten a new roommate, and Florence was trying really hard to get reacquainted with him. Sure, she was guaranteed ass, but she was old news. He wouldn’t try with the little thing beside him yet, but he would eventually give it a shot. As he gathered his things, he saw the fight that was about to happen and he hung back for a minute. He didn’t need to see this trivial bullshit, but he couldn’t say he didn’t admire a certain need for rules to be followed. At the same time though, he’d seen how the demons had become under Billie’s hands and it almost irked him to see another group leader with a similar mindset. It would only be time before there was a hiccup though, and he’d be there to reclaim his place. His father didn’t doubt him at all. Once Zach said to get out if you wanted, Darren actually took it and headed down the hall. He’d find that Adrian guy later, for now, the more distance he put between himself and that fight the better. -- Billie didn’t even bother to look at Zach or Logan after Kane had spoke to her, and she leaned back and zoned out a bit before she realized that there was an assignment and she rolled her eyes a bit and gathered up her things before noting how quickly Zach got to the door, and her eyes looked to Logan. He was heading over towards Devin and she made her way closer, standing near the front as the fight started. She smirked a bit. Something about violence always got her a little… ahem… hot. However, the look that came over Logan’s face and the dark chuckle caused worry to pit in her. She knew that feeling all too well, and even though she was still watching the fight, a memory came into her mind. Why couldn’t Alex have just stayed put for an extra five minutes? Five minutes! Billie was irate and Justin and Randa were behind her as they headed down the halls trying to find a now MIA Alex. “That idiot!” she hissed and Justin spoke next. “Billie, he doesn’t know about there being fights yet, or the feud even. He’s been out cold for a week.” Justin said, and Billie shot him a hard look. “He’s a fucking target right now.” She spat back at him. “he’s still not at full strength, and you know, he did kinda lose his fucking mind on Devin just before all of this.” “We’ll find him Billie.” Randa tried to reassure her, but as they bounded the next corner, the sight that was just before her caused her blood to boil. One of four vampires that had Alex backed into a corner had hit him across the face. Billie snapped her fingers and two very loud snarls could be heard as Blaze and Storm pounced on two of the vampires. It drew attention to her as she made her way down the hall way, and she watched as Blaze and Storm moved in front of Alex defensively. “I wouldn’t try that again if I were you.” She warned, and she and one of the taller vampires squared off. “What are you going to do, hell whore?” he retorted, and another stood next to him. “You’re outnumbered.” Billie gave a half shrug, watching as the other two vampires too off down the hall. Her eyes blackened and she spoke. “I like my odds.” She stepped forward, standing toe to toe with the tallest one. “Unless you’re really that big of a pussy bitch.” She said. He slapped her mouth, and she rubbed her jaw a little, barely noticing a small crowd forming. “You talk an awful big game.” The vampire hissed, and Billie let out dark chuckle. “Well, I’m about to become your worst nightmare.” She chuckled, but soon she slammed her left fist into his jaw as hard as she could, and when the other moved, she grabbed hold of his throat and sunk her nails into his skin, watching as the blood dripped down in an almost satisfied manner. She threw him back against the nearby wall and she felt a blow connect her ribs with a sick crack. The first vampire looked almost pleased until he noticed it barely changed Billie’s demeanor. Her hand went out and she watched as he was pinned against the wall, grabbing at his throat gasping for air. The only thing that saved him was the second one hitting her, hard in the ribs she had just been hit in and she broke her hold and slugged him in the nose. A loud pop was heard and blood came gushing out. Billie swept her foot under his and heard his head hit the ground with a loud thud, and she kicked him in the ribs, hard. “How’s that feel?” her voice came darkly as she pressed her foot against his face and when she went to stomp she was tackled. The other vampire had her on her back and went to hit her, but she caught his fist and managed to flip him over and she started punching his face. Her hands were covered in his blood before long, and when someone grabbed her left shoulder, she back handed them. Alex’s voice came as her left arm was grabbed, and she violently tugged her arm. “Billie. Stop.” She kept fighting it and soon felt another person grab her right arm and another pulled her up by her waist. She managed to fight her way out though, hitting Justin with an elbow in the face and forcing herself from Alex and Randa holding her arms. However she couldn’t get back at the vampires. She looked and saw the Arch Mage standing there with a ward between her and the unconscious vampires. She shook her head, finally seeing the crowd and noticing Logan there near the front. Her eyes returned to normal in an instant and she looked down at her hands. Her left hand had a few broken knuckles from hitting to one in the jaw and she was covered in blood. She swallowed, hard. Before Alex came over. “You need to get checked out. They broke your ribs.” He whispered and she shook her head. “I’m fine.” She said quietly. She walked off, tears on her face. What had she just done? She had almost killed two vampires, and while she was doing it, she didn’t even care. She just wanted them dead for trying to hurt an already weak Alex. She took a few deep breaths, not realizing just how hard that was. She headed back to her dorm after that. She snapped from her thoughts when she saw Ravenwood there breaking up the fight, and she saw the girl who had been sitting beside Logan came up and did something that caused Devin to start coughing up blood. “ENOUGH!” the Arch Mage’s voice boomed as he came forward and knelt beside Devin. He waved his hand over his forehead and took a bright pink potion from his pocket and shoved it into Devin throat as he muttered a spell of sorts, and Billie had noticed the room was clearing out. She walked back over to gather her things, and she noticed Logan’s still sitting at his seat and she quickly scribbled something on a piece of paper and tucked it in while no one was looking and she slipped out unnoticed. Lo, Usual place at 7? If he didn’t show up, she’d go and check on him later, but for now she needed to get a few things done, and one, she knew for a fact she’d regret. -- After talking with Harlow, Aren knew he needed to go back and speak with Samantha. Of course, he HD agreed, just as he had imagined. So between the three of them this test shouldn’t be too hard to get through. However, the commotion going on alarmed him, and we he saw what was going on, he shouted. The room near froze, and as he checked on Devin, waving his hand over his forehead to try and get a good feel for what happened before forcing a potion down his throat to get his body to calm down, he stood up straight and looked at those in the room. “Mr. Smith, Ms. Reid, you shall both also be joining me in detention tomorrow after classes.” He said, firmly, and he looked down to Devin. “Ravenwood, get him into the infirmary. I’ve managed to temporarily calm his body. And tell the nurses I’ll be there soon go help.” He rubbed the bridge of his nose and shook his head. “You all need to leave. Now.” He told them, and he waited until everyone was out of the room before he sat against Kane desk, still rubbing the bridge of his nose. “One Sanders, Smith, one Reid, Flint, and whoever else gets detention tomorrow. I’ll have my hands full. Hopefully Julian can help.” He mumbled to himself and soon he knocked on Kane’s office door, and turned the knob. Once he was inside he saw Salazar and Drakon. “I need to speak with you when you are through. Nothing urgent, so please take your time.” He said before leaving and Harlow had managed to find him. “Julian, are you available to help with detention. I have Flint and a Sanders in it tomorrow and we both know she’ll at least listen to you.” He nodded before a sigh came. “Yes sir, of course, but you may want to read this.” The Arch Mage opened the letter Julian was holding and looked at him. “An angel? That’s recipe for disaster. And the Arch Angels sent this?” Julian nodded. “I guess. You’re going to have to announce it the day before she gets here. Otherwise things will get messy.” Aren nodded. “Of course. Now, I need to head to the infirmary to fully deal with some fae magic. Come find me later. Samantha, you, and I need to talk about the test administration.” He said before heading off.
