While true that the massive, alien-like creature was nothing like the imaginations in Vincent’s mind, it was still a threat to be handled. Or at least that was what Ciel was implying with her warnings. Feeling the spray of bullet fire bounced off of its legs, the creature gave an animal-like snarl before raising a fist high and emitting it further with green flame.

It sounded like an elephant crossed with some other feral creature of the wild and the flames coating its surface seemed to be pulsing, as if each were a heartbeat. Without warning the Golem slammed its fist into the ground and the earth shook and trembled. At once a plume of green fire launched off in a wave towards Vincent.

The reverberations in the ground combined by the massive pillar of green fire that rose to the heavens with each step of the creature would be more than enough to attract the likes of Alice and Rui-Ling. But the Golem didn’t seem to mind the prospect of attracting more potential threats.
