Sometimes the best Power Rangers are the most unlikely ones; the first blue one, Billy, helped carry the team through some rough times, and he was the one that began with the least physical training and expertise. Just keep that in mind if you continue to have doubts. These characters can grow into the roles they fill, they need not always begin the most capable. 

Ah, the classic weasel-type of villain that no one expects is a serious threat under the right circumstances? It could turn out to be really something for the roleplay. I say go for it if you believe in the concept and your ability to perform it. Do what makes you happy!
