Mrs. Castro actually cares for her students, especially Darien since I'd like to believe they've had great talks in the past where she doesn't tell her what to do or make her change who she is, she simply talks to Darien like a normal person (ultimately getting good results in class), but in this moment, she doesn't want to be taken as a joke.
