Is known as Cici/CC to her sisters (Cerise and Celeste) Gender Female Age 19 Nationality English (French parents)
Appearance A freckled face makes Claire look younger than she is. Her dark brown hair is cut in blunt bangs, though the rest hangs to her shoulder blades. She’s about 5’6” tall and feels that she’s “too” tall; ballet flats are the staple of her shoe closet. Her body type is fairly average, maybe a little on the thin side. Makeup wise, she favors a very natural look, though she often uses a lot of foundation to conceal her freckles. Often she will curl her hair, which is naturally straight. In terms of fashion, her normal style includes flowing clothes with lots of ruffles and lace. Her favorite color palette is white, pink, and brown. Normally she favors skirts and dresses, but will also wear dress pants, depending on the day. Personality Eternally an optimist, Claire refuses to look at the dark side of things. She knows that her music career is a stretch, but is convinced that with enough heart and enough effort her whole group will be able to make it big. She is fiercely loyal to her sisters and her friends and will do anything for them. She devotes as much time as she possibly can to the group, to the point where she’s considering dropping out of university to focus on the group full-time. She does have an overactive imagination and this can distract her and set her to chasing harebrained dreams… like maybe her music career. But since she’s committed, she’s along for the ride. Has self-confidence issues, to the point where she’s selectively mute (only ever talking to her sisters and bandmates, and even then only when it’s absolutely necessary; never talking onstage and certainly never singing.) She’s included in most of the group’s recordings, but she is not a “full” member of the band. Cerise: Believes that as the lead voice of the band, she should be the public face/ “leader”. Not to mention because she’s the oldest by a year. Works at a pub, when she’s not writing songs. Viridian and Vivian: A pair of twins that intentionally try to confuse their fans with their appearances. Still sometimes uploading videos as their old violin duet, “VVirtuoso”. Are currently juggling attempts to go to university with their music careers. Alicia: Became a bit of an internet star for solo guitar/vocal covers of pop songs. Still does solo uploads on a regular basis.

Likes/Advantages Claire, having been classically trained on piano since she was four, has a good musical ear and is well-versed in music theory. She’s been in choir since elementary school, as well. She’s pretty good at multitasking, both in rehearsal and on stage, able to sing, play piano, and still hear if anyone isn’t playing their part exactly right. For this reason she is the conductor and the “leader” of the group, despite not being lead singer. Dislikes/Disadvantages Claire can be a little scatterbrained and distant, and she’s not the best at planning things for the group to do. She’s not great at sticking to scheduled upload times or even rehearsal times; too often there’ll be a last-minute text going out rescheduling that day’s rehearsal. She can often get distracted by… well, virtually anything. Also there is the matter of the group’s chosen style not being one that’s very highly demanded, a decision that Claire doubts a lot of the time. She feels like this must be the reason the group hasn’t been picked up by a recording studio Background Claire was born into a very musical family; her mother and father were a brilliant four-hands piano duet that had won national notoriety. As a result the kids were pushed into music, specifically piano, at an early age. Cerise, Claire’s two-years-older sister, did not particularly enjoy it. She began taking voice lessons after butting heads with her parents until she was eight; this decision appeased them somewhat. Celeste didn’t mind piano, but wanted to try different instruments; she joined a beginning band when she was 6, playing clarinet, and stopped piano lessons when she was eleven in favor of pursuing other woodwinds. Out of the three sisters, Claire was the only one who continued piano lessons through secondary school. When the girls were 14, 12, and 8, they started a youtube channel. They called themselves “Arpeggio”, a name chosen accidentally. Claire had asked, “Celeste! What should we call our youtube channel?” Celeste had replied, “I don’t know! Stop bothering me! I’m trying to practice my arpeggios!” The first couple of videos had featured the girls singing acapella. There were some very negative comments, mostly due to the immaturity of Celeste’s voice, and the girl took them to heart (despite her sisters’ encouragements) and vowed to never sing again. What first sparked their rise was a video that Cerise had caught accidentally; Claire had been practicing improv on the piano on one end of the room, and Celeste practicing improv on the clarinet on the other end of the room, and they had inadvertently been echoing each other, which, coupled with the acoustics in the room, led to a really cool repeating melody and variations. Comments and ratings on this video were all positive. With this in mind, the girls turned more to an instrumental approach and gained a modest number of subscribers. Then, two years after this first video, there was an area talent show. Naturally, the girls entered. At this talent show, there was another group of sisters performing: VVirtuoso, a pair of twins about Claire’s age who played violin, and were moderately famous Youtubers. The final decision came down to Arpeggio and VVirtuoso; in order to decide it, a “riff-off” was declared. VVirtuoso was declared the winner, but both groups agreed that it had been epic. They both uploaded the video of the riff-off and agreed to work together in the future. Also after the talent show, they were approached by one of their classmates, Maecie Cardew. A good sort, and the tailor/fitter/makeup artist/wardrobe manager for their school’s drama productions. She was interested in doing their makeup and picking clothing for their videos, which the girls agreed to, though they felt silly about it. Why have a makeup artist for something that wasn’t going to go anywhere? But the collaboration videos got a lot more attention; a year later they were asked to appear on Britain’s Got Talent as part of the youtube week. In the preliminary rounds, they met one of their local idols, a girl named Alicia Henderson, who unfortunately was eliminated in the preliminaries because she didn’t have enough confidence. Claire, however, had been impressed by the girl’s love of music and her technical abilities. VVirtuoso and Arpeggio, who were together performing under Arpeggio’s name, made it to the top 16. They had contacted Alicia, and had asked if she wanted to appear in their Top 16 performances. She agreed, albeit nervously, and thus Arpeggio as it is known today was formed. The girls were eliminated in the final 8, but the exposure they had gotten was enough to drastically boost their recognition on social media. At this time they haven’t been asked to record anything, but they’re sure it’s going to be soon. In the meantime, they’re just waiting, and attempting to go about their lives.
