Yesterday had ended well. Chris had drove them home after the movie. The whole car ride back to the house was filled with laughing about Deadpool. Truthfully everyone at school had raved about how amazing the movie was, that Chris's hopes had been impossibly high. Unfortunately that meant that he had been a tad let down when the movie ended. It had been hilarious, and Ryan Reynolds was spectacular, but the terminal cancer angle really got to Chris. Though the 'baby hand' scene really made up for it. Interestingly enough when they got home, both there parents were their cooking in the kitchen together, listening to NPR on the radio. A rare occurrence, as both of them usually worked until late. It had been nice to sit down for dinner with the whole family for once. Aunt Cynthia had even come over to eat. She brought some fresh cut lilies, and a bottle of 1963 vintage port wine. For dinner they had there mother's favorite. It was the kale, hemp and flaxseed oil pesto, atop gluten egg free noodles, with a side of mashed sweet potato. It was all vegan and gluten free of course, as there mother was a devoted health foodie. Meat and fish was only served when mom wasn't in charge of making dinner. Chris went to bed around one in the morning, after finishing his essay for art history. There was only so much you could write about the impact of Chinese and Japanese art on European culture. He was only in College part time at the moment, and only to appease his parents. His mother had refused to speak to him for a week after he dropped out of Dartmouth, and moved back home without giving a reason. Chris had finally gave in, and enrolled at Millington University, to make her semi-happy. Though his choice to major in liberal arts, rather the chemistry like before, wasn't his parent's favorite decision. He didn't have class till noon so he planed on sleeping in, but his alarm went off at eight alerting him to take his medications. After lazily rolling out of bed, he walked over to his desk, and opened the bottom drawer. He took out his meds, and grabbed a mango snapple out of his mini-fridge. Five pills later and he had taken his morning dose of prescriptions. He plopped back into bed, and stretched out under the covers. As he laid there, he went over what he had planned for today. His class was going to end at one, and then he had to head of to the flower shop to help deliver the flowers to the church for the Samson Wedding tonight. Practically the whole town was invited to the wedding. Since Theodore Samson was the popular mayor of Millington, and this was his only son's big wedding. The bride to be was Tallulah Bluemont, aka heiress to her father's million dollar diary company. Needless to say it was going to be quite the town event, and Chris was not going to miss it. So other then delivering the flowers, and his one class of the day, he basically had nothing to do. Falling back asleep didn't seem to be happening so, he got out of bed and crossed the hall to the bathroom. After showering, and shaving his face, he changed into his outfit for the day. He tucked in his shirt, and buckled his belt. Grabbing his rolex, and car keys off his dresser he went down stairs to the empty living room. His mom was already at work and his dad had most likely just dropped Blake off at school. Chris yawned and headed out the door. Breakfast at the diner seemed like a good idea.
