[@Ellion] As a rule of thumb I like to wait for at least two posts between mine.   When your character is interacting with others it can be a bit difficult,  often you're kinda stuck until the rest of the participants reply.  If it takes too long and you really want to do something I can recommend making up an excuse for your character/or characters to leave the conversation.
