Also, if he started uppercutting before the teleport, it would probably be even more telegraphed. He would have had to take the time to lower his arm and fist to wind up the hit all before teleporting from his spot. Unless, of course, his teleports are like Nightcrawler in that he's actually slipping in and out of another dimension to travel? Teleportation is otherwise instantaneous and thus makes it pretty much impossible to just do something "mid-teleport". But like you said, it really doesn't matter too much in the grand scheme of things, especially since I chose not to try and interfere with it.
