They both have a dagger they keep on a belt around their waist.

Adelyn and Adrian's father was a trader, making a living by selling the furs from the animal's he hunts and kills. Their mother had died during birth and so it was left to their father to raise them. He was a quiet man, paying very little attention to his children. He mostly acted like they weren't there, unable to look at them because they reminded him too much of his deceased wife; especially Adelyn. They soon left Cotrelini and traveled all the way Tarnoa, where the twin's father hoped to make better sells with his fur. One night, when there father had had too much to drink, entered a gambling game. He carelessly spent what little money they had made that day and when they wouldn't allow him to play anymore because he had nothing to bet with, he thoughtlessly offered up his children. 

The twins were shocked. They knew their father didn't care for them but they didn't think he hated them that much. And so, while everyone's shocked attention was on their father, Adrian, who had always been a quick thinker, grabbed his sisters hand and ran. They ran through the streets and eventually stopped in an alleyway. They were at a lose. They had just lost the only person who they loved and now they were alone. They soon saw a ship in the dock next to them and upon hearing the shouts from the Tavern they had fled from, darted aboard the ship. They were soon discovered by the Captain who, once she had heard their story, allowed them to join the crew as Cabin boys.[/center]
