Not to be a buzzkill here but given that The Lord (or just "The" now apparently?) opened up by asking for skinny jeans and talking about banging dudes and generally acting slutty, I can't see how you've given kusanagifire any lead-in to actually [i]get[/i] to the church.
I mean, your character is the one who is the devout Catholic in this relationship, not the Japanese magus. Shouldn't you be giving him something more to work with here? 
It might just be me but it feels like you're expecting him to do all the heavy lifting insofar as making this whole encounter not feel incredibly contrived.
