[@KoL] I want the wiki to go away forever. Promise me you won't use the wiki again. Transfer of energy covers everything from Edelfelt Conversion to Matou Absorption. You'll need to do more than just say that it's transfer of energy, what do they do with it? No matter how much I like it, Hiroyama insists that Prisma isn't canon. Even if it was, the wiki lied to you; Flash Air isn't basic, it's just bad. It’s really bad. You can only be remotely good at it if your family hyperspecializes in it, which your family doesn’t. Remove it. What do Northern European curses focus on? IE physical degradation, mental degradation, etc. No Rin-level spells, Rin's top 100 in the Association's history with a QuantityxQuality of over a thousand and an odd of 600. What sort of mental interference, and what's her skill in it? List the runes and their meanings; she's a rank amateur at them given all her other specializations so she'll only be able to access the most basic meanings. Explain energy displacement and conversion, because again, that describes everything from Conversion to Absorption. You're severely underestimating how hard it is to learn all these kinds of magecraft in seventeen years. Five elements plus runes plus curses plus mental interference plus alchemy plus general plus family crest specialties. General magecraft alone takes in the realm of five years to learn, as per Clocktower 2015. There’s no chance she’s had the time to learn all of this. Know that Counter Magic isn't exactly what you think it is and isn't very good at all. You can still have it though. Projection and Reinforcement are both weird things to know, let alone to use, especially when you have actual training and a legit family. Depletion’s just high-tier Absorption which it took the Matou who are absolutely brilliant at that stuff several centuries of practicing Energy Drain just to get to a level near, so that’s a no-no. Why does she have tarot cards for divination when she doesn’t know divination? List the actual equipment and numbers and not just generalities. How many familiars? How does she have a combat familiar when she doesn’t know how to make them? Moreover, how strong is the golem? I’m not allowing anything DA-tier.
Damn wiki (I'm kinda sorry, but if I had to cross-search and check all I need to see I would not finish this list even in a year or two. Learning TM's rules almost requires one to get a Major just for that), I guess I'm back to planning it all again. Lemme see what I can answer for now: - I should have specified it again, I forgot about it, but it's heat (not general energy) that they deal with. They transfer kinetic energy from a particle to another, thereby getting some things hotter and others colder. Think of it as a microwave that can work both ways and you're game. - Ok, I'm removing Flash Air. Furthermore I'll add the ability to create familiars. - I'll think about that, but if I have to go by what I know of Norse myths, it would be physical degradation. Plus, the Gandr sustains this way of thought. - Right, a bit of a tone down, than. - Probably just memory alteration and hypnotism, the basic thing most magi know. - I'll get some written later. - That part is covered above as well and I'll lower the power of her depletion a few notches, and change the description a bit. - Actually, I was going by the fact that most of it should be stored on her Crest, if this isn't the case I can scratch more things. But, weren't they supposed to be like spell books containing all Magecraft related lore acquired by the family so far? Nevertheless, there's just these persons that can learn lots of stuff very easily, I vem have noted the the only one she's really good at is Bounded Fields, the rest are developing knowledge that she'll master over the course of a few more years/her entire life. - Ok, I'll either take notice before using it, or remove it altogether as well. - I thought these were basic things everyone learned but almost never used, I just placed them there as a note to say the truth. I talked about the Depletion thing above. - I forgot to add that part about Divination, sorry. Maybe I should ditch it as well, but I can't picture a mage that can use this skill it feels kinda weird. - Ok, I'll note the numbers later. - The same as above. - You mean the chains, or the snake? Because the snake is about as strong as a normal one, while the chains are just capable of following simple commands, but don't have any other special characteristics. I'll try to be more specific later. Anyway, I really want this character to work, 'cause I like the idea of her, but it's way too hard to make her 100% accurate. It's way too much time spent on that task, so if you have any suggestions to fix her magecraft to around the "genius, but not impossibly OP" level that you would admit for this RP, I'm more than willing to take them.
